Deal should be finalized soon. DeBoer has won 11 or more games in seven of his nine seasons as a head coach. Was always right at the top of ?
@AlabamaFTBL
? and AD Greg Byrne’s targets.

And there it is.

I was told DeBoer was no.2 target behind Sark

Happy with the hire. Pretty excited about him making the program his own. 2024 is gonna be a banger, but looking forward to DaBear having a long career here.

Wanna see us overhaul our recruiting evaluation process, because frankly it's been less than stellar the past few years. New blood and a fresh set of eyes will help.

Saban himself has consistently said that its not about having he best coaches or scheme, but the best players. DeBoer has never shown any recruiting prowess at all and that is hugely concerning.

He's obviously a good coach but if we can't continue to recruit at a top 5 level, we're gonna fall off fast.

You never know how it will turn out. What we can judge a hire based on is what they've done to this point, and DeBoer has done by far the most of any of what seem to have been serious candidates. I think it's a good hire.

He's a winner. LOVE it. He's won everywhere he's been and will win at Alabama.
