And good luck in recruiting the southern region. Most of those kids went there to play for Saban, because he was a legend, now in steps a coach that most of the recruits in this area didn’t know existed until Washington got into the playoff and their last memory of him was getting blown out by Michigan on national TV.

Sure thing buddy . He spanked Lanning’s arse twice this year. We are happy with the hire

He will be if y’all don’t run him off too soon.

quote:Agreed that may be rough the first couple seasons, but if he assembles the right staff and has a little early success that will take care of itself. I know we all like to think (even Texas fans who know better) West coast players are somewhat inferior, but they truly do have some of the best skill players out there..as in QB, WR, RB and DB. If Deboer can hire coaches for the lines with experience in the Southeast and pluck most of his skills guys from the west coast Bama will be just fine. The juggernaut they were under Saban? Not likely, but they won't simply fade away either.

A win is a win? Took a bunch of 3 stars to NC game . We could have done a LOT worse

Your satisfied with the fifth choice?

Y'all could have hired a rat turd and it would be a home run hire. Delusional entitled fricks.??

Very unknown. Keep telling yourself that. Time will tell.

Sure he will do well with Saban hanging on his neck. Recipe for disaster. Yard gnome needs to understand what retirement means.

I’ll give you that. Your comment history has the receipts.

Most of his wins are from when he was a HC at an NAIA school. He's about to get a real quick dose of reality when he gets slaughtered against real competition every week.

You claimed he spanked Lanning which was wrong. And yes he made the NC by beating Texas which I was impressed with however Penix is way better than any QB he has on that Bama roster and there is no guarantee Sayin will stay committed now that Saban is gone. Fact is he will have to re-recruit every player on that roster and all commits and ask them to stay. And y’all will turn on him wanting him run out of town after he loses 3 games
