So I guess Saban purposely torpedoed the hiring search

His ego got in the way and he can’t take his grip off the program. Openly admitting that he’s got an office over the stadium and will be hovering.
Why would any big time self respecting coach want that. No wonder all these home run hires are staying put

Or, maybe he's going to go the Brett Favre route. Unretire a few times.

I am confident the person already hired is well aware of this

I have stated that in the threads already.
It does not matter, Alabama wins titles, always has.

This sounds like when Owebama left the White House and kept an office in DC to run his shadow govt ops, tricky libs think alike.

Glad to hear it. This is the karma Alabama has been deserving. They're going to let that midget dabble in the program just enough to destroy it.

You gotta admit following the goat is bad enough but to have him hovering around the program making the new coach feel like he's not truly in control has to scare away a few prospects. I admit DKR was still around Texas football after his retirement in the late 70's, but he was AD at least.
Oh, and the first 3 coaches following him (including one of his ex players) didn't exactly set the world on fire. It took until Mack Brown in the late 90's to get things back on track. Good luck with all this.

Funny, when I was growing up, Alabama football was a laughing stock.

Keep hanging on to that Bama tradition bullshite. Now that Saban is gone, it's all you got.

Okay. Yale has 18 national championship titles in football, two more than Bama.

AND Georgia has 2 more recent than Bama!

how good can a team be if it's led by Mac Jones

Can you imagine if LSU still loses to Alabama this year? Holy hell this place will be nuts and Tigerrant will likely just spontaneously burst into flames.
