I don’t think Alabama gets a big name coach from a big program

Here’s why:
Everyone knows the fans will have Saban level expectations in a tough league. The big names being floated like Lanning, Norvell, Sark, Kiffin, DeBoer, Dabo are currently all safe at a program that will be competing to get into a 12 team playoff regularly.
Dabo and Kiffin make bank it’s a lateral financial move with added stress.
Lanning said no.
Sark and Norvell both had great seasons and will show interest to leverage a big contract increase but won’t take the job.
DeBoer makes under 5 million. Washington likely wont match a Bama offer so he is probably the best chance for them. But there’s still the expectations stress in the toughest league top to bottom. You have to realize the first 3-4 loss season you’re on the hot seat.
If it’s not DeBoer, I think they end up settling for a good coach from a smaller program or maybe a NFL coach would be interested

Your statement is true except for Deboer and Kiffin.
While they'll be competing in SOME years at Washington and Ole Miss, neither is the type of place where they'll be in the mix EVERY year in the SEC or Big 10. Norvell and Dabo will be in hte playoff mix every year being in the ACC, but less so if their schools get their wish and end up in the Big 10 or SEC.

Ole Miss would have been in a 12 team playoff this year, and we'll certainly be in it next year. Kiffin has built a hell of a program at Ole Miss and has been a step ahead of everyone with how he handles the portal and the outstanding job the Grove Collective does with NIL.
With NIL, if a school has a top NIL collective (like Ole Miss does), then they'll be able to compete on a consistent basis. This is now free agency, and Ole Miss is set to take full advantage of it.

UM has never won anything of relevance in his entire career as a head coach and you seem to have confidence in him. Poor Ole Miss fans are delusional from never winning anything

Ole miss has been ranked in the top 10 four years in a row but all these delusional mother frickers act like Matt Luke is still at ole miss.

This is true. Lane recruiting pretty damn well and getting good players in portal.
Not sure why anyone dismisses Ole Miss. Dumb.

if Alabama somehow landed Sark, I 100% want Schumann.. I’m not sure why more people aren’t discussing him for Alabama. dude is going to light the world on fire wherever he goes. I was just glad A&M didn’t want him.

Highest rankings each season:
2021 #8
2022 #7
2023 #9
2024 will be ranked preseason top 10 possibly top 5.
We literally return the same team plus the top portal class. The people dismissing ole miss are delusional.

No one is dismissing Ole Miss for next year. Stop being so insecure because people have said they have not reached the level of being a perennial playoff contender.
And saying things like "they were ranked inside the top 10 at some point in the last 3 seasons" is incredibly and intentionally misleading. Yes, they were ranked inside the top 10 for 3 weeks last year after a 7-0 start. But they lost 5 of their next 6 games and never saw the top 10 again. So when someone says "While they'll be competing in SOME years at Washington and Ole Miss, neither is the type of place where they'll be in the mix EVERY year," that's not an inaccurate statement. There are only like 4-5 programs that can say that, so you don't need to take it as some sort of dig or taking the extreme stance that if you say that then people are being delusional about Ole Miss and/or dismissing them.

Pre-season and highest season rankings don't mean squat. Arkansas had highest rankings of #8 in 2021 and #10 in 2022. How did that turn out? Not comparing the two teams over the last 4 years or the two coaches either. The only ranking that matters is the one at the end of the season put out by the CFP.

Dan Mullen is rested, ready and has no buy out.

Not in 2020, and not when it mattered.
Final AP Rankings-
2020 -Nope, finished 5-5 and unranked
2021 -Nope, #11
2022 -Nope, finished 8-5 and unranked
2023 #9
He's building a monster program.

Point is Kiffin job is safe long term and he makes 9mil a year
They’d have to pay him Saban level salary to go to Bama. Kiffin can make playoffs at OM. Bama will demand not only making it but winning it every few years. Kiffin could bolt for the job if he thinks he can win a natty easier there (he could) but he also knows a down year puts him on the hot seat while at OM it wouldn’t. He would be better waiting a few years after the Saban expectations are worn off and his replacement is fired. He is young enough to wait

Ole Miss was extremely borderline this year. While the top 12 get in, with the top 5 or 6 conference champs getting auto bids, teams ranked 11th and 12th will often not make it.
While I get you're excited for the future, your current standing is likely because of the coach, not because the program is a perennial top 10 team. Places like Bama would be in the 10-12 range most years even with an average head coach.
Mississippi isn't that. It takes a series of classes/transfer players coming together in the right way and above average coaching to get there.
Their schedule is somewhat light for SEC schedules next season though, so they could end up in hte top 12 next season. But there are going to be years where it's more likely that even with a good team Ole Miss will end up with 3+ losses before CCG's. I don't think 3-loss teams will get at-large bids often unless they get the 3rd loss in a championship game.
And to be completely honest, I don't believe reliance on NIL is going to bring long term success to teams. I think it will be something that gives teams a brief moment of success, not consistent success.
The consistent method is the bama/UGA/OSU method. Bring in top 5 recruiting classes and in the areas those classes don't pan out or transfer out, supplement with NIL players to fill the holes while relying on recruited players for most of the key players.

The question for Kiffin is if his ego drives him to want to win titles.
While Ole Miss can make the playoffs, they'll never be one of the top 5 talent teams in the playoff. They'll also rarely if ever win the SEC and get a first round bye.
So if he wants titles, Bama is a better option.
If he wants job security, Ole Miss is.
