Just sad about this vendetta against Kiffin. He and Sark are the available candidates for the job.

I don't not want Kiffin. I just prefer Sark.

Give Kiffin the job and he's ours for the next 20-30 years.

Lane Kiffin will not be doing this until he’s 69 or 79 years old.

Other than that, ask yourself a simple question: Do the potential upsides for Kiffin outweigh the potential downsides? Because both exist.

I'll go on record that Kalen DeBoer is a better HC than Sark or Kiffin or Dan Lanning. The record so far is pretty good evidence.

I don't know why we're wasting time talking about Sark. There is ZERO upside to moving. It's a lateral move at best. Texas has more money. And he doesn't have the shadow of Bear/Saban to live under.

He'd be a fool to leave Texas at this point.

Honestly if you can’t get any of the other coaches like Deboer or Lanning then Kiffin would be my next choice. I DO NOT want Tommy Reese. If it’s Tommy Reese the fans will revolt.

Kiffin isnt an option

This will be our generation’s “Bobby Bowden” frick up moment. Alabama will get what it deserves if this is true. The bow tie wearing Pointy heads calling the shots again. Makes me sick.

I like Kiffin a lot. But he's no Bobby Bowden.

I definitely want Kiffin. Hell he has been campaigning hard for the job. He has everything needed. Experience, confidence and a swagger that is exciting. Nobody can ever replace Coach Saban in any Tide fans heart. Hopefully the powers that be don’t go for the flavor of the month. Lane Kiffin deserves this job. Alabama will frick it up though. We got lucky Nick fell into our lap. Hopefully I’m wrong, but I’ve seen enough of these situations to know the odds are not in our favor

No we didn't. Mal Moore worked his arse off to get CNS to Bama. He basically said I'm getting Nick Saban or I'm getting fired.

We got lucky. If the dummies had their way Rich Rod would’ve been head coach

Don’t forget this is the leadership brain trust that gave us Dubose, Fran, Price and Shula. And like I said damn near told Saban to piss off in favor of Rich Rod. Thank God Mal did what he did. But that was more him pushing all in and going out on his own than a collective victory by the University

Several folks have said it throughout the comments. The past is the past, regardless of who Kiffin may have pissed off.

Byrne is going to screw this up. Either hire Kiffin now, or regret not doing it for the next 10 years.

This is feeling all too familiar, back to the days after Coach Bryant.......
