In the 247 overall talent composite:

Texas #6 (Sark)
Oregon #10 (Lanning)
Washington #26 (DeBoer)

DeBoer is 5-0 the last 2 seasons against Sark (2-0) and Lanning (3-0) despite having the inferior roster in all 5 games.

Dude is 12-2 vs. the FBS Top 25. That’s not counting his 3 NAIA national championships.

The #1 roster in the talent composite is Alabama.

He is only 49 and has been getting it done at every stop in a funny car. Back up the Brinks truck, stick him in the drivers seat of the Ferrari, and then get the hell out of the way.

Ambassador Saban can coach him up on how to recruit the southeast.

Gene Chizik didn't have twelve 10 win seasons in a row.

Oregon ain’t on the schedule. He beat Texas twice. I’ll give you that.

My real concern is him on the recruiting trail going head to head with the likes of Smart, Freeze, Kiffin, Sark…when Nick’s talent runs out will he have dudes coming in like we’re used to? Or will we be battling for top 15 recruiting finishes instead?

You win in this conf on the LOS. I think Lane understands that and can put a recruiting staff in place to get those guys.

Also if DeBoer is the guy is he going to keep players from leaving? Is he going to excite and connect with our current roster? I again think Kiffin can excel in that dept.

Passing up a HC that would walk to Tuscaloosa who is in this very conf winning and looked at as a legit contender to win it all next year. A guy who’s been here. Looked at as an offensive savant and runs the ball. Capable of hiring an elite staff…it’s crazy to me.

Lane turned down Auburn for this very moment and we’re going to whiff because ppl in high places are butt hurt. It really pisses me off tbh.

I think Kiffin would kill it here. Yet anytime his name is brought up with any guys that cover Bama they immediately turn their nose up. I just don’t get it.

All you have to do is tell the players hes the coach that played in the NC game this year. Wouldnt be a hard sell. I think .

It needs to be Kiffin or Sark. Sark seems like he’s out. If it’s not them then take a chance on Schumann.

The sucky thing is Kiffin would take the job. He’s been earmarked as a coaching savant since he was young and just didn’t have his shite together. He’s at that age where he’s probably ready to settle in. Let’s bring my man home!!!

I’m sure any of our offensive players would love to play in his offense. The DC hire would be important. Thats why I mentioned maybe retaining T Rob and a couple of others.

Maybe it’s Schumann.

Kirby had zero HC experience. UGA hired Nick’s DC who happened to be a Georgia alum.

Bama could return the favor hiring Kirby’s DC who is also an Alabama alum.

I would be onboard with that.

If it’s not Demeco, Kiff, or Sark…I want Schumann. Hes a homegrown son and the future. Let’s take a swing on him with Saban still here. Hes the next big thing and obviously this is his home. And he’s not a 50 year old out of touch evangelist

That was obviously a stupid, cringy quote from Dabo, but it's bizarre to me that you would hold stupid quotes against a coach and simultaneously be so high on Kiffin, who has as many stupid quotes as any coach ever in any sport.

I think getting the Bama job would reignite a fire in Dabo. If it’s him we could do way worse.
