Sark posted it's a great day to be a longhorn about 30 mins ago. Safe to say he's out

I think it's going to be Dabo, I'm not going to lie. Just looking at the resume in a vacuum it makes way too much sense compared to the other options

Frick it, I'd rather have him than Norvell

Guess I'll be at the package store as soon as it opens. Gonna be a heavy drinking weekend.

It wasn't too long ago we were debating whether Dabo would leave Clemson for Bama... especially after that thrashing Clemson gave Bama in the 2018 NC game.

Now people act like he'd be a horrible hire and students are chanting not to hire him.

Crazy times and crazy people. I'd absolutely be fine with Dabo.

The Ninja is targeting who he wants (usually one person he locks in on) and I guarantee you a lot of these individuals haven't even heard an offer from Alabama because that's how he operates.

Yeah he seems like the obvious choice to me, don’t get why some are so against him. Is it as simple as they hate him because they beat us in the NC twice? Yeah that sucked but Dabo winning those NCs and showing he could compete with us is what makes me want him.

I think his coordinator hires would be really important.

Fever, you have been tripping as of late. Dabo is trash and he's behind the times.

Nick Saban adjusted to the new era...Dabo ain't even sniffed adjusting.

Dabo just hasn't adapted to the changing landscape of college football recruiting, specifically NIL and the portal. Per 247, Clemson is the only program ranked in the top 25 for recruiting without a single recruit from the portal. That's really telling.

Dabo would not even be a tier 1 coach in the SEC next year.

Kiffin, Kirby, Sark, etc. will eat him alive.

I'm ready to roll the dice on DeBoer before hiring Dabo.

A Dabo hire would be exactly what Bama did after Bear stepped down, and everybody said never again...

I guess if all others are out I'm fully on DeBoer train.

Cowherd said a few hours ago he had a source that thought it would be DeBoer. It's not Dabo.

It’s got nothing to do with being mad about beating us.

In 2019 it would have been a home run.

CFB has changed DRAMATICALLY since 2019, and Dabo willfully chose to tank his Top 5 program by refusing to adapt and instead screaming “get off my lawn” like an octogenarian rather than a 54 year old in his prime as a head coach.

You absolutely cannot and will not win by refusing to participate in NIL and the transfer portal in 2024.

Saban is the GOAT because of his willingness to adapt to changes in college football over time.

Dabo chose to be stubborn. Alabama doesn’t need that stubbornness.

There are only two current college coaches with multiple national championship. Dabo with 2 and Kirby with 2. Both have played for 3.

Literally all Dabo has to do is adapt to NIl and the Portal and he would be a tier 1 coach again. I think he would have to agree to embracing modern college recruiting to be hired and Idk if he would agree to that or not.

I still think it will be DeBoer.

Wake me up when Dabo wins anything without Venables stealing signs for him.

Dabo made a career out of being Dubose’s bag man, Tommy Bowden’s coffee fetcher, and a mascot while Venables did the real coaching. If he’s the guy we’re fricked.

Watson and Lawrence were a big part of their success too as much as their defense. Dabo hired Venables. He is better when he has great coordinators of course, every coach is.

Thats why I said his coordinator hires would be very important.

Great. If we can get him a generational QB he will win a championship. Were basically hiring Gene Chizik.
