There is one thing I will miss about that sawed off runt.

NOBODY could throw a better screaming hissy bitch fit on the sidelines than him.

I didn’t like the way he left LSU and then went to Bama, but he did win us a championship and basically rebuilt our program, so I always appreciated it and never hated him like some do.

The complaints from those that say he’s an a-hole don’t understand what it takes to motivate young men to be the best they can be. He expects nothing but 100% effort from his players and often got it. He’s just a no nonsense type of guy.

He knows football and coaching and I have nothing but respect for the guy.

Now maybe we can start kicking Bama’s arse on the reg!

Congratulations and best wishes to Coach Nick Saban. I still remember the 2003 season very fondly and gratefully. He left LSU in way better shape than he found it.

I'm not worried at all honestly. While I think Bama is the best job in college football we can match any offer...not to mention why would he want to follow the goat when he can become the same for us?
He's not leaving. It's Lanning. Way too much smoke for it to be anyone else...and Lanning will kill it there.

Still don’t believe it. He wouldn’t do Bama dirty like that. He should die coaching. It’s in his blood. No one we hire will be able to replicate what he did …

bfpri...sorry about your coach, dude, I know it sucks! Keep your head up, you might get another great coach!

As for all the Elephant fans in the Rant, see you next December for the Playoffs. Now that Saban has left, I believe our accounts are all square...

Michigan is 4-4 against your GOAT Saban (including when he was a Sparty Broomhead) and the Michigan vs. Alabama tally is 3-3...as far as I'm concerned, WE'RE EVEN!!!

See you trailer-dwelling Gumps next year...

Signing out,

I’m not worried about matching or any of that.. I’m worried Saban will ask him to take the job as a favor to him.. and he feels he owes Saban for putting him back on the map.. he has said it so many times, it’s almost as if he has been laying the groundwork to take the job.. I hope i am wrong..

that's fair...but I'm not worried. I think this is where he wants to be.
..but he'll take the call and I wouldn't blame bama for making him say no.

If we weren't in the NIL era now, I'd be really worried with you. I don't think BAMA's NIL entities can match Texas NIL entities in the bidding wars for recruits, not long term anyway..Also, who the heck wants to try to follow Saban? Nobody wants to be that guy to have to try to fill those shoes.

C'est bon, Saban. Enjoy your well-earned retirement. CFB will surely miss you. I hope Alabama will sorely miss you.
