This means we are following slowly behind with tv and such crowd size should be down

Crazy that for Oklahoma and Texas the hardest road game they would play in the big12 was at Iowa St and Texas Tech

People aren’t talking enough about this. For decades they’ve played in Lawrence or Waco or Lubbock for 35-50k with tons of your fans there
They are in for an awakening

No way we had that many butts in the seats this year. Upper decks at TS look half empty

Except for Vandy I think just about every SEC road environment is going to blow the BigXII ones out of the water. OU and Texas don't play on easy mode now

If only we could play at BDS every week...

It's been talked about ad nauseam. Crowd size is meaningful but not as big of a deal as it's made out to be. I've been to a ton of college games in about 18 stadiums (including Alabama/LSU at Tiger Stadium) and the craziest crowd I ever experienced was in Lubbock in 2008 and it was like 50,000 people. We handled the 100,000 person crowd at Bama just fine. I know games at Jordan-Hare and Death Valley will be another animal but we're well aware.

WTF, we played at Bama this year and did just fine. Nothing scary about big crowds. It's fun for the players. That's about it.

I give Texas more credit than OU. Y’all have had big games out of conference and go to Michigan next year
OU hasn’t had a big road game in years and have 1 P5 non conference game in the last two years and it’s against Houston next year.

MSU attendance is usually higher we were averaging around 58k prior to Covid. Capacity is 61k
It had dropped to 49k in 2021 then picked up to 55k in 2022. It dropped this year due to us sucking
Hoping with a new coach it’ll pick back up this next year.

I think most sooner fans would tell you that we would much rather our team play in these environments than the sleepy current big 12 environments. It's not like we've run from big environments, we were playing the Ohio States, ND's & Tennessee's of the world in the non-con in the BCS and early CFP eras. We were scheduled to have Georgia and LSU on the schedule prior to the SEC announcement.
One thing I've seen in the recent big 12 is how an 11 AM kick with a small crowd size like Kansas can negatively affect a team. The effect might be more significant than the big environments which can be an additional motivation for a team.

The other thing I'd like to see with this graphic is "as percentage of stadium capacity...."

My take on this isn't intimidation of opposing teams by crowd size, it's fan support.
No conference has such driven fan support as the SEC. It's pressure from the fans that drive the programs to be as great as they are.

That's a good point. I'd be curious about the ratio of graduating class size to average gameday attendance.
