What is funny is your State has two cities bigger than the state of Mississippi...we are roughly equivalent in football and are debatable upper half of SEC all time, definitely last 10 years..in that 10 year period we would dominate "Texas is back" with our tiny school and only finish top 5 in SEC

So Ole Miss is just terrible at recruiting out of state? Must be why they’re hitting the transfer portal so hard.

I've lived in Texas since I graduated college. So, I'm very familiar with the Big 12 schools from living here so long and working with alums from the different schools in Texas and Oklahoma. And now my oldest is a freshman at A&M. So, I know a whole lot more about a&m now. I know you will hate to hear this, but A&M and its alums/fans fit more with traditional SEC schools than Texas or Oklahoma. There are some dumbass aggie posters on here, but if you actually know aggies in person or meet some at games in College Station then you'd realize that most are friendly, down to earth, humble, hard working folks.

When they were leaving for SEC, the big talking point with the UT Austin fans was that A&M was joining a conference filled with idiots, backwards thinking, trailer trash poor people who liked to sleep with their cousins, brothers, sisters, etc. I constantly heard this kind of talk directed at A&M alums at work, at bars, on the golf course, at church, etc. As a Florida alum, I got sick of hearing the SEC and its fanbases described that way. But, this is how large numbers of UT Austin fans really think of many of the schools and fans in the SEC. They won't admit it now outloud. But, its what they think.

Oklahoma fans who grew up in Oklahoma are more similar to SEC fans and are good folks. But, the ones who grew up in Dallas area are usually douches who fit in better with the UT-Austin crowd.

UT Austin alums and fans consider themselves better than anyone else. Lots of condescending attitudes. They might act okay at first when they join the conference, but give them a few years and they'll try to stab you in the back, try and push other teams around to get what they want, etc. There is a reason they are known as poison and conference killers. Everyone I know who is an alum of other big 12 schools are ecstatic that UT Austin is gone from the conference. And not because UT Austin has been a football powerhouse the last 10 years, because they haven't if you look back at their record. It's because people view them as a bunch of spoiled asshats.

Pretty much this. I doubt there is a single UT grad who can change a tire or mow a lawn.

How long have Texas fans been giving you wedgies in your front yard?
