With the upcoming expansion to 12 teams, it makes sense to lock a guy up that’s building something here. He’s clearly beloved by his players which is what you want number one. And number two, he’s recruiting at a level we’ve never seen and pushed hard for all of our facility upgrades.
I think he could be here for a long time.

OK ... so Drink is an odd guy. That's just what it is.
But look at what he does. He's rebuilt Mizzou very much in the Pinkel way - from both lines back - with a more dynamic approach on both sides.
Frankly - I like what he's doing. It's smart football. And Mizzou is smart to give him some leash, I think.
The Missouri state move to allow NIL to High School kids was also smart, and Drink is taking advantage of that. As he should.
