I mean come on Big Sam have some self respect.
Even if the admins say you must hire him as OC, just tell them know and call their bluff to fire you.
At least you get your buyout with a sense of pride.
Hiring Petrino as the OC at Arkansas is like having your girlfriend’s ex boyfriend move in with you and the woman.

You’d take will wade as an assistant basketball coach in a heartbeat and laud it as a brilliant hire.

Arkansas will struggle next year, and by the middle of the season the fan base will be clamoring for a change.
Oh and what do you know, we already have our new HC as our OC. Who happens to be our most successful coach in the last 20 years.

My post was not a shot at Arkansas or the fan base for this move.
It’s more a shot at Pittman for not standing up for himself.
Hell, I’d take Wade back as HC, assistant or whatever.
But I’m pretty sure, whatever our Head Basketball Coach’s name is, would not agree to allow Wade to sit on his bench and he would make LSU fire him.

Arkansas wasn't going to fire him and pay another expensive buyout that included the rest of the staff.
I wanted Sam gone as well but Arkansas needed to do something different.
It helps Sam that his personality helped him retain his job but more importantly he had a valid complaint that Arkansas football wasn't getting enough money in NIL.
In other words Arkansas wasn't taking this NIL seriously but the big money has heard his complaint.
A few days later Arkansas got a commitment from the top OL JUCO of 2022.
Now they will reveal the new collection agency called the Arkansas edge during the Duke game tomorrow.
