Hard to believe we've had divisions longer than I've been alive and Ole Miss, A&M, and Kentucky never went once.
Not surprised by Vandy though

I’ve figured Ole Piss would be here with all their poverty level tears.

Glad they have some self control to stay out

Alabama, LSU, and (to an extent) Auburn all took the latter half of the 90's off, and Arkansas and Mississippi State managed to take advantage, win the West and get to Atlanta.
Tennessee, Florida, and (to an extent) Georgia all took the first half of the 10's off, and Missouri and South Carolina managed to take advantage, win the East and get to Atlanta.
Sad, those programs who failed to strike when the iron was hot. It gets way, way harder to make the SECCG now.

In the 90's Arkansas only went to Atlanta once (1995). Went two times after 2000. So no, not really what you said.

They won the West with an 8-4 record. Truly a bygone era. Respect, though. They got it done.

*8-3 (6-2 in conference), not too crazy of a situation. Still probably one of the worst teams to make the championship game.

8-3 in 1998 is like 9-3 today

The funny thing is I think our 99 team was much better. We should’ve gone back to back years

If there was a little rickety folding blues clues themed kids table shoved in the corner of the conference Thanksgiving dinner.... these 4 would be the ones sitting there.

State caught Arkansas in that 1998 season the week following the Hogs loss at Tennessee and beat the Hogs by one. Many Hog fans still believe the FG was no good that State kicked at end of game.

And yet UK is still the only non "big 6" school to win a conference title since integration
