It made sense to pay coaches multi millions when they did the recruiting. Now it’s the money that talks
There is a whole lot of truth, and sense, in those two simple sentences.

Our AD is a key one fighting against it.
Administrators (Presidents, Chancellors, Vice Chancellors, Athletic Directors and all those within the athletic department) are making 6 and 7 figures from the league TV media deals of the football program.
Coaches like Sam blame everyone else and make excuses - we need better players in order to win games and to the media we need more NIL money to win on the field.
Losses to BYU, State, Auburn and Mizzou had nothing to do with talent deficiencies. It's about having competent coaching and strategy but these guys raking in multi-millions never accountable.
Whine about getting outbid for players on the roster or to attract them as HS recruits.

Go find a coach that’ll take 2 million and an incentive heavy contract and tell him the rest of the money he would’ve got is going to go to nil and allow him to pick the best players he can find that money will buy.
That’s a pipe dream, haha.
Bring in Buck James and give him nil and the sky is the limit?

Pittman could help by taking a cut in pay.

Dubinion gonna be making 7 figures next year, while Sategna heads to Oregon to become an all conf WR.

100k people paying hundreds of dollars to watch a football game every Saturday and you didn’t think star players would be worth a nice chunk of money?
I agree with you, as far as this being the obvious direction NIL would go. But what is it that makes these star kids "worth a nice chunk of money"? Not for the schools but for the "advertisers" that are supposedly paying for their name, image, and likeness. A pro athlete gets commercials and such because they are well known stars that might actually influence weak-minded consumer's choices. Why exactly is an athlete coming straight out of high school, who most fans don't know anything about until their school recruits them, worth a lot of money to advertisers?
That's the whole problem with NIL. It has nothing to do with name, image, & likeness and everything to do with a loophole for bagmen "the advertisers". And the fact that every state has its own laws regarding it.
Not saying schools are wrong for using the loophole, I wish we would do better at it, I just think it's funny to say these "kids" are worth it.

It needs some form of governance.
If not, it will always be the wealthier universities of the world out paying all of the middle class, and slightly above of the world.
It has changed for the worse in my opinion. I agree that it is the way it is, and we much compete or get left behind. But we will get left behind anyways with the current set up.
TAMU will always outbid others for talent... so will TX, and others. There should be a team limit period...

What the frick ever dude. All this NIL shite will level itself out in due time, just look at A&M right now. These donors will figure out their return on investment ain't anywhere near worth what they're putting into it.
At the end of the day the schools/ncaa are still expecting to rake in all the profit while also expecting their boosters to directly pay their profit centers. shite won't last.
And anybody paying Dubinion 7 figures deserves what's coming to them. Dude's 3rd string on a 4-8 team.

If the rumor is true that we are still low balling on NIL we all might as well enter the fan portal.
I predict mass exodus by weeks end.

OneArkansas NIL is transitioning to a third party to handle NIL efforts moving forward, so this is a notable change. Basically in other words, an outside company will be managing everything for them. To me, this is a positive development. Wonder why this didn't happen in the 'NIL offseason' though.
Ahem.... Rumors are that a group of donors required this switch in order to give a large amount of $$$...
Will it matter enough... or be here quick enough?

what if I told you that Pooh was offered 350 grand elsewhere and we offered less thant 200 to keep him.
Now, what If I told you that a QB like KJ got just a tad under 1 mil last season at Arkansas... And him leaving frees up some cash...
Folks, College football is OVER. I mean literally over. Three of our players have been offered double what we have been paying them this season.
At what point does this end? In what world did we ever think a college football player would be paid a million bucks a year to represent the Arkansas Razorbacks.
It is the wild, wild west out there and we are left with a pea shooter... fighting bazookas. Unbelievable!
It’s a sad reality

I feel like at some point they are going to have to put some terms to these deals to protect schools.
You cant just have a mercenary culture where the highest bidder can push out and pull in talent year to year.
For instance Pooh should be on a 3 yr 250k deal last year. The only way he can be released from the deal is if he leaves for the NFL.
The current way leads to the death of College football.

Well, here are a few considerations... Since you asked.
Marvin Caston has been over our NIL program... yeah, good dude, but Uhhh!
The foundation has been handling it without much training or education considering the NIL program as well... Ohh man!
Have you dealt with our foundation much in the past? Uhhh, they aren't exactly the most professional folks... Kind and stuff, but this is Mega Millions were talking about here.
so we finally have secured an outside professinal company to handle NIL branding, advertising, promotion, and financing!
I wouldn't want Homer... the neighborhood classic car mechanic to touch my brand new ferrari SF90...

Supposedly of the same style Ole Miss has currently. Getting some actual professionalism around it should be good assuming the 3rd party knows what they’re doing and we didn’t go cheap with them too.

The RF has no business anywhere close to managing the nil. The foundation can barely handle donations and season ticket sales.
Until we establish a collective we'll continue to lose players year in and year out.
It's plain to see that HY and Titboss are against nil monies.
