According to the rumblings on Gator message boards and Discord, etc. there is a contingent of younger big Gator boosters who are getting tired of it. Apparently there were rumors of buying Billy out and going all in on Lane or writing Urban a blank check to come back if the recruiting class completely fell apart (keeping Lagway and McCray might've salvaged it enough to not take those measures).
It's clear new blood and new decision makers need to get in place if anything is to change.

I am a firm believer that UF has too much potential and too many people who care to waddle in mediocrity for too long. One thing you do have to give our admin credit for (sorry theCAW) is that we have cut bait on hires that aren't working out pretty quickly.
The biggest thing for the next hire, which seems like it is probably coming in the next 12 months, will be to actually get someone who can get the boosters and fanbase fired up. I honestly think a lot of the NIL issues fall on Napier. There are a ton of people who are willing to cut checks but who have been sitting on the sidelines for whatever reason. I just don't think Napier is engaging enough to get it done on that end.
He seems like a preacher who is willing to drive a crappy car because he is too proud to ask for tithes, not the sketchy megachurch pastor who can't go 5 minutes without passing around the offering plate. I know most of us probably hate those megachurch pastors in real life, but you need that kind of personality to win today in my opinion.

When you were little and wanted the GI Joe aircraft carrier and your Dad said fk no, wasn’t much you could do about it no matter how bad you wanted it. The HC doesn’t sign the checks or drop the bags. Hard to blame a guy working within the confines of what he’s been given

I agree. I don't know who the guy is either. But, at least it's something. Give the guy a chance.
