Scooby is no big loss. Kindof like our OL players, any defender who wants to go ill hold the door open for them

I was afraid this was going to happen. The defense was so atrocious that they provided cover to the offensive issues and gave Napier a lifeline to keep the status quo in offense for next year.

We are a complete mess in the portal right now and not even bringing in in good depth for the most part so far. The D lineman is the only transfer that appears to be quality SEC depth at this point. We are losing starters and bringing in even less talent unless some major pickups happen soon. It's almost like a hurting sunbelt team would be doing in the portal.

I already said it, idgaf about the portal. Kids quit on their first team, they’ll quit on us ala FSU.
I’d rather not land 1 portal kid and win 6-8 games than go all portal, win 9-10 games then get fkn embarrassed by 60 pts on National tv because they all quit

You build your team recruiting, you add a piece or 2 on transfers that you couldn’t fill recruiting. Not the other way around.
Other than Mertz / Ricky. Name a portal player this yr that made an impact.

We are getting 2nd and 3rd stringers from p5 teams and fcs level talent in the portal that’s why we see no impact

lol. You literally proved my point by naming a team like Bama that is built on recruiting and adding a player or 2 from the portal instead of building a team through the portal
Which is what I just said is what the portal should be used for.
We added top DL and OL from the portal last yr. None of them did much to get you excited.

Think of it like a team of street racers. Your car can be good, have top performance parts here n there. But other teams start spending more money to pass you up and eventually do so.
