Stops being afraid of contact, and is quicker to pull the ball down and pick up first downs with his legs.

Bama is a totally different team as we saw for about 1.5 games where Milroe was really aggressive running the ball.

We have not seen Milroe be aggressive in the run game since he suffered that hip stinger. Rees also has stopped calling those plays, and we've seen nothing similar since. Hopefully it's in the back pocket for the SECCG, but it's clear that Milroe is scared to pull it down and possibly get hit. We haven't seen his top gear since that hip stinger.

If the decisive, quick twitch, top gear Milroe that is willing to take a game over with his legs shows up in Atlanta this team is going to win the SEC Championship and possibly a title.

He's 6'2" 220 pounds... I dont understand why he's so reluctant to hurt opponents with his legs. He could have run for a first down today, and instead threw a pass beyond the LOS, and at that moment the game went into voodoo spiral that we were lucky to recover from.

Yeah saw that but that was after he left a lot of yards and first downs on the table being tentative. You think he's been the same since the hip stinger ? It's not even close.

I dont want him to run into a brick wall... I want him to run to green grass when its in front of him - in his top gear north and south.

He has to be more decisive next Saturday.

If it's not there, pull it down and haul arse.

I think they want him to play it safe knowing we got a tough game next week.

He had 259 yards and 2 TDs and over 100 yards rushing with no turnovers.

He played well. Perfect? No. But he has improved drastically.

Let's not forget he did all he did tonight in Jordan Hare. Give him some credit.

If he’s not decisive and sits back there until he chucks it out of bounds we’re toast.

He’s not as good an overall passer, or as fast as JD5, but he can be just as lethal when he pulls it and runs with conviction.

I expect us to be in an absolute dogfight, if he plays well we can knock them off.

Yes, there is not five second drop back vs uga. It's gotta be 3.5 and hit the nearest lane with his top gear if nothings there.

We saw the total transformation of this offense when Dalcourt got benched and Milroe started running with authority. He has to give it all if this team is going to put anything in the trophy case this year.

That's easy for me to say as the guy not taking those hits, but if Milroe wants to win this thing he's going to have to do what he's capable of doing. When he fully commits he's the most dangerous QB sans that guy at LSU in the nation.

I'm giving him a ton of credit for what he pulled out of his arse tonight.

But next week he needs to make faster reads and get the frick out of Dodge if nothing is open.

I guess my main question is could the coaching staff step in and say "you have to be aggressive and use your legs," because Milroe keeps saying I'm not a running QB and he wants to stand back there all day looking around when there is green grass in front of him.

That shite aint gonna fly vs uga. He has got to run the ball.

2nd half he was much more decisive. I expect balls to the ball next week. No idea why we had throwing past the LOS penalties today

His decision-making is incredibly slow, whether it's deciding to run, or seeing/anticipating an open receiver and throwing the ball on time. We simplified the offense because of that, and it has helped, but he still struggles sometimes.

What does that mean ? Are you not able to understand what I'm talking about ? The hesitancy to run the ball and pick up first downs should have cost Bama the game tonight. He threw the ball in front of the first down sticks and took a penalty that almost cost the game instead of running for first down.

Once he decides to run it's usually a second or two too late and the running lanes have closed.

Sheesh... it's really easy to see the difference if you go back and watch the LSU game, and then watch tonight performance. He's not running the same.

Id argue that he has made a lot of plays with his patience before running

I don’t think he’s scared to take contact. He’s trying to play QB and figure out when to go/when not to go. It’s not easy.

I agree he should have run more but I do not think it has anything to do with being scared.
