How did he look against Georgia last year?

He was statistically worse than his last season at Auburn...

Individual Heisman voters use whatever criteria they want. It's sad that anyone could be too dumb to get that,

THANK YOU!!! I’m glad I’m not the only one here who understands Heisman selection process.

For the rest of you half wits —
It doesn’t matter what “the stats” are.
It matters ALOT what other candidates do in the last 2-3 games of the season.

Just because you can point out a 3 loss team 20 years ago whose QB won the Heisman doesn’t mean it’ll happen this year for JD5.

It is at LEAST as likely that the winner of the PAC-12 game wins the Heisman as JD5 wins it.

I like JD5, he’s doing wild shite. Doesn’t mean he’ll win it.

No quarterback could be successful with the lines and receiving corps Auburn has had the last 3-4 years.

Bingo. Nix (Oregon), Finley (Texas St) and Thorne (Michigan St) were all well recruited, highly praised and have looked very good - great in other uniforms. Hell, Ashford could probably succeed as a dual threat on another team.

The problem at Auburn has NOT been the QB though a lot of idiot fans think that way.

The problem at Auburn, going back years, is a complete inability to pass protect and terrible receivers who can't get open. I'm talking Vanderbilt bad. No quarterback can succeed under those conditions.

LSU fans saying Nix wasnt very good is hilarious.

He wasn't very good on the whole; however, you could say the same about Daniels last year. Players improve with experience.

Caleb Williams won it last year on a 3 loss team.

I think you are talking about the Bama QB, all he does is run the ball. he won't be a QB in the NFL. speaking of NFL QB's. I know one Heisman QB who isn't doing very well in the NFL right now. Panthers have to be regretting that decision.

Is it the one that just went out for the year because he hurt his little wrist?

Here are 7 of the 11 defenses Bo Nix has played against this year ranked by YPG.

Portland State (FCS)
90 WSU
100 washington
116 cal
123 usc
127 stanford
128 colorado

he has basically played against temas with worse defenses than LSU all year long.

I would disagree with you. His team wasnt very good. Who did you fear on those offenses?

Coonass is developing a theory wherein Heisman recipients are judged on their career, not each individual season.
Also that players are penalized if their team has a defense and wins more games.

EarlyCuyler3 is the most LSU obsessed guy on here. The letters "LSU" are a bat signal for that clown to appear.

I don't recall fearing anyone. I'm sure you remember those teams better than I do. As I recall Nix was very talented but also mistake prone. Last year Daniels wouldn't throw the ball downfield if his life depended on it. He has improved in that department. I assume Nix has improved too with the numbers he's putting up. I've only watched him play once this year when they played Washington.

Serious question: can we say that he has gotten that much better, or has he just played against worse defenses and athletes?

It’s ALL about the difference in defenses. The last time he played a SEC defense he looked like he always looked against SEC defenses. He may get a chance to have one good game against a SEC defense yet. Most likely he’ll look like shite again

Daniels is the better QB and I would take him over Nix 10 out of 10 times.

Attention everyone: Coonass is developing a theory wherein Heisman recipients are judged on their career, not each individual season. Will his hypothesis become a regulation that guides the new Heisman selection process or will the referees of life screw over lsu again and not be fair? The SEC headquarters will make a ruling after consulting with the REC.

Hey coonass, he won. Eat shite
