Just listened to Arkansas podcast- Trey Buddy of Hawg Sports- seems they’ve got the offense issues sort of fixed and have a renewed focus and a very solid defense.

They chalk up their 3-6 record to fired offensive coordinator’s inept offense and 4 game road stretch- (LSU, A&M, Bama, OM). He points out they lost those games by only 3-6 points each. Basically says they’re a good team that’s lost close games.

All to say- seems like the edge is to Arkansas at home in a defensive minded game.

Who has the rose colored AU side to counter?

Auburn is statistically better in every category, Red Zone, Offense, Defense, Turnover, Sacks.

3-7 against MSU (Close loss), compared to Auburn winning 27-13. (Transient properties)

4 game road stretch- (LSU, A&M, Bama, OM)

Forgets they also loss at home to BYU and MSU to lose 6.
Compare to LSU, AM, Georgia and OM for Auburn for our 4 game losing streak.

In Auburn's past five games at Arkansas, we have averaged more than 46 points per game.
2013: Auburn 35, Arkansas 17
2015: Arkansas 54, Auburn 46, 4 OT (So many dropped passes, etc.)
2017: Auburn 52, Arkansas 20
2019: Auburn 51, Arkansas 10
2021: Auburn 38, Arkansas 23

Auburn is coming off back to back wins where they have not used the 2 Qb system. This will be the third game in a row where Robby is not apart of the game plan.

Thorne is going to play loose. I expect PT to have his best game of the year tomorrow.

Secondary is healthy and in full strength. Defensive line is showing signs of life again and LBs have drastically improved with the addition of Keys to the regular rotation.

Special teams is the best we have had in years. OL is freaking stout. Just need our WRs to actually catch the ball when it hits their hands.

The real question is how many drive killing penalties will the refs throw to kill any momentum we try to generate. Over under set at three

The stats on Arkansas don’t backup the record… should’ve never lost to BYU (heavily out gained them) or MSU.

No rose colored glasses from me… they’re the slightly better team and are at home… that’s why they’re a slight favorite.

No amount of offensive play calling ineptitude should result in a 3-7 loss. At some point, a team with division one caliber players should have said lets stfu go and play some backyard ball and win this scrap. To me that says if we put a couple of scores on the board like we did against Vandy and play some sound defense without penalties, it will quieten the crowd and they will go back into their shell.

We are Auburn. You never know from week to week which team will show up, especially on the road. This is the biggest game of the year for us. IF we win, we go into the IB on a four game win streak.

I think you can say the same about auburn… who we can get ahead early will likely win imo.

It's Auburn vs Arkansas. When you think you got it figured out then a Fred Talley or a Kam Pettway runs for 200 yards and messes with your head.

I think it will be the same as the mauler in your gif, early, fast furious, with the second round worse than the first

This is what is referred to as a “rarity” in Auburn, AL.

The real question is How many times will players get caught doing dumb things that kill drives ......That and drop balls with no one around?

Their new offensive coordinator has made good progress implementing their new offense. Jefferson looks much better now and has been turned loose to do more making him much more effective.

Their new offensive coordinator
Is key. Enos was guilty of trying to force his system upon a team that had checked out from him and it. There was also open discord among the staff that has been rectified with his departure. From what I've read he was trying to turn KJ Jefferson into a drop back passer and that wasn't working. Their star RB is now healthy and back to full speed. Plus there's down home cooking and our on the road record.

And finally they need this game as much as we do. . . . Just seems a perfect storm (although not hoping to lose).

Wait, they played 4 straight road games? Seems kinda unfair, tbh.
