What would Thornes numbers be if his receivers could catch, and his coaches didn't jerk him in and out of games to pacify Robby? Also, I'm not against bringing in someone else to compete because Thorne ain't Tom Brady, but this dude was NOT helped early on.

I knew rocket got fat. That dude is playing RB at a different 242 than Kam Pettway. I dont know why he put on all that weight. I guess he got on the KJ Jefferson...Pittman diet.

Or the reverse? Ashford looked better against the better opponents. Doesn’t matter now because Ashford is gone in a few more games. Hopefully, a better replacement comes in because Throne will not beat the better teams in the conference.

He threw for a bunch of yards against LSU but also cost us the game in 2022, and played inspired against Bama admitly, but you're not considering the fact that Peyton has played (well) against the likes of Michigan and Penn St. This staff does not trust Robby for whatever reason, so I'm ready to move on also and just do what works. If we can find receivers that don't suck, and depend on the run game and defense this guy could be a good bridge QB for us.

Ashford leads 2 scoring drives easily. Doesn’t matter though, Ashford is gone soon. It’s time for Freeze to upgrade in the portal, or we’ll struggle to make a bowl game again next season with Throne.

How was our Offensive line and play calling in those games brother? Also let's not forget that Jaquez wasn't completely healthy and that Philip Montgomery couldn't stick with one guy. Thorne struggled terribly against A&M but, he also got poor protection on top of not adjusting quick enough. I don't think Peyton is God's gift, but for the life of me I will never understand the Robby Ashford crowd. Do you really believe the coaches wouldn't play the best guy?

I'm referring to the bad turnovers. He balled out and I was proud, but it's time to support the guy who's winning. Let's hit the portal and stack even more talent this off season. We have much more returning and people should understand the system more in season two.

The best guy isn’t always the best guy for what the coaches want to do. Do I believe Ashford is better than Throne? Hell yes, but he isn’t what they’re looking for in their offense. Really, neither is Throne. But it is what it is right now. Freeze will hit the portal again this offseason and hopefully sign a QB he really wants this time.

The last 3 games where Freeze has taken back control of the offense, and Robby has not played, Thorne has looked very good. I don’t know why it took 7 games to figure out that we needed quick passes to the outside to open the offense up, but it’s clicking now. Robby cannot make those throws, Peyton can and he can also run enough to make the RPO effective.
Peyton can win here. There’s better options out there, but we can win with him.

I'm fair with the idea that Peyton isn't a great option, but what in the name of Valhalla has Robby done to get this sort of praise from people? Thorne can manage games and he's proven that for years. He literally went like 11-2 doing just that. He can be a winner for us if you just give him weapons(receivers)and continue to block for him.
