Robby won’t graduate until summer graduation next year. He will either go down in classification or be a fall enrollee to try to win a starting job probably not the best position for him.

I wish he would be open to being a team player and moving positions because he wouldn’t get picked up as an arena league QB and he has great athleticism that could transfer to another position he might excel at. We are gonna be young at Safety going into next year. I would take my chances with Coach Zac and see if he could develop me enough to get some playing time.

I know how it feels to be asked to change positions. I was a catcher but had elite speed. So my college coaches were transitioning me to become a second baseman. Less wear and tear on my body and could use my athleticism more. So I did both rotations at catcher and 2nd base. My future was brighter at 2nd base rather than catcher. So I understand what going through his head.

Regardless of who was on the field I’m so happy the 2 QB thing appears to be over.

I think Thorne and Hank Brown might be the only remaining QBs going into next season unless Holden really is stepping it up.

I mean the only ones in the current roster obviously we will hit the portal for a guy but not sure how appealing coming to throw to our WRs is appealing to some QBs. Maybe by ‘25 that wont be an issue any more

Throne wouldn’t sniff my son’s high school team at QB. I can see Kiffin taking Ashford if Dart is a senior, and he would do quite well. I only hope that we don’t start the season with Throne again next year. Freeze has to hit a home run in the portal this time, or at least a double.

The two TD Passes Thorne threw against MSU .......Ashford is incapable of throwing either one. Time to get off that sinking Boat and move on.

Don’t go full retard. Ashford has thrown touchdown passes that Throne is incapable of. He doesn’t have the arm strength.

I can’t tell if jville loves Ashfrod more than he hates Thorne but either way you have to respect the grind

Jville I know we rag on you a bit about Ashford. But if you are so blind that you think Robby is even remotely close to Thorne then I question your reasoning ability.

Robby is a great athlete but a horrible QB. I mean terrible. Thorne is a serviceable QB that gives our team the best chance to win games. I mean sometimes it’s ok to just say I was wrong.

I have admitted I was not a fan of the Alston pickup at running back and he’s been pretty good so far. Glad I was wrong.

The past 2 games should have settled this discussion. Thorne had an adjusted completion percentage over 90% against MSU and 85% against Vandy. Robby’s completion percentage isn’t even 50% for the season or his career. You can dislike Thorne all you want and be a Robby fan boy. I will choose to support all the players and hope the best for them.

Ok, let’s talk about adjusting completion percentage. In the aTm game, I guess you can adjust Ashford’s percentage to 100% then. What was Throne’s that game? How about LSU? Ashford was 75% and put up over 350 on them last year. Surely Throne did better than that right? Georgia? Ashford starts the second half and drives for a touchdown with ease. Speaking of last season, Ashford threw for 400 more yards in starting 8 games than Throne has this year, while also rushing for 200 more.

Jville, you had a good run but it is time to bow out.

Thorne isn't his competition anymore. It's Gurnur.

I’d be shocked if either are on the roster next season. Freeze made his choice. I’m just hoping that he brings in a lot better QB in the portal than he did this past offseason. Otherwise, we’ll be looking at another 6 win or less season with Throne.

Adjusted completion percentage is what his percentage be without drops. It’s a common metric.

So a 65% percent vs sub 50%. One has higher yards per carry. That would be Thorne. You keep going back to LSU last year big shite we talking about now.

Why am I still talking about this? I feel dumber even having to discuss it

I like all of Auburn’s mediocre-to-bad QBs.

They are who they are. But in the end, to me, they are all Auburn players, equal in my eyes.

Just tired of the QB carousel. And stopping said carousel has resulted in 2 consecutive SEC wins and probable bowl eligibility. Amazing how sometimes amateur fan perceptions are smarter than those of million-dollar coaches.

We need a passing game to win. We can’t win just running the ball and passing (badly) 9 times per game. This ain’t 1982.

Play the mediocre-to-bad QBs that have a better sense of the passing game. DUH. Amazing how it took our offensive genius million-dollar coach until Game 8 to get that.

You might can see this, but I don't think many other people could including Lane lol. Besides not being anywhere close to good enough, Ole Miss already has their next QB on the roster.

He hung with his guy and he is going to keep doing that. I feel bad for him because Jville's loyalty is great.

People are going to see Jville the same way the people in the movie did when the dog kept going back to the park to find his dead master year after year. Poor pathetic thing.

Nothing against him but I don’t think he will see another FBS snap at QB unless it’s in his “package” at Auburn

No shite. That’s why I used for example aTm. Ashford had some really good passes bounce right off the WRs chests.
