Two things stood out to me even more than they did while watching live:

1. Jayden Daniels was incredible. Some of the passes he threw were absolutely unreal. Give the man the Heisman.

2. LSU's defense fricking sucks. Our offense has been getting better game by game but we looked like we were playing a high school team last night. Our RBs were regularly dragging tacklers for several yards and our QB was trucking linebackers like it was nothing. Kelly has a very deep hole to dig out of once Daniels isn't around to score 40 points a game anymore.

That’s the most honest assessment I have seen on this board all day

well since your post was purely football and objectively stated. I think you are dead on, but JD is not winning the heisman. He had a Heisman type season in terms of his play but LSU has 3 losses and with this Defense, which is historically bad is going to be in shootout kind of games with both UF and Aggie.

Eh, if not Burrow then Daniels. QBU can just reload.

I see no lies here. Bama was the better team. We have a long way to go on defense.

Hard to admit but this post is spot on.

A very reasonable analysis. LSU defense historically bad starting 3 freshman corners.

Reason people are so upset about the Turner cheap shot hit is it robbed us of seeing JD play Alabama for the 4th quarter. That sucks.

But LSU defense is awful...like really awful.

Jayden Daniels is the most deserving of the Heisman IMO. Dude is an absolute nightmare to defend and would be undefeated with a half decent defense.

Why does everyone keep saying that LSU has a defense? After we score, we let the other team match our score. Then when we don’t score, the other team gets the amount of points our offense would have scored had they reached the end zone.

It’s simple enough.

The most deserving I've seen in a long time.

Kid is tough as nails and has carried a team.

I don’t think I could have put better words together describing the game. I will add that Harold Perkins needs to be a on the line rushing passer. Don’t care if any coach in America thinks he’s too small or light for that.

No.

He's a three time loser and when LSU drops A&M, it'll be number 4.

He had a chance to clutch up after the Turner hit but saw some dollar signs, thought better of it and pranced off the field. Colt McCoy stands up and slow claps on that one.

Nope, undeserving. It’s Penix or Nix.

The one down the right sideline was an absolute dime. Deion in his prime couldn’t have stopped it.

Here's an example of how bad LSU's defense is.

Bama was 11 for 14 on third down. In those 14 attempts they needed a total of 77 yards. They gained 175.

So they needed on average 5.5 yards to get a first down. They gained an average of 12.5. They averages 7.3 yards per play for the game. So we were already very bad, but were way worst on 3rd down.

If our defense just gave them the exact amount of yards needed for a first down, we give up almost 100 yards less in the game.

Joe Burrow could have been our QB and we still lose this game. Our defenses best hope was overthrown passes and misses field goals. They punted on the first drive. That was it.

I actually think Matt House is a good coach, he did a good job last year, but we are insanely bad. He has to go at the end of the year.

I just can not understand how this defense can be THIS bad. I feel like if we didn't even have defensive coordinator and just let the players call their own defense on the field it would not be any worse.
