Would we have won the SEC with Briles and TWill?

At this rate, I bet they finish with a top 30-ish defense in the country this year. They were in the 80s after the A&M game.

I don't see anyone left on the schedule that can light up a defense other than maybe Missouri.

As long as they stop our defense from scoring and play fundamental turnover coverage our offense is pretty dead in the water

Arkansas is ranked 36th in total defense.

Offense is ranked 119th which would put them last in the SEC.

I do think this settles the debate whether it’s better to have a good offense or good defense. At least with the offense last year we could squeak out a bowl game.

Doesn't the old saying go "good offense wins games, good defense wins championships"....or something to that extent.

It used to be that with defense and special teams was enough to win any game.

But that was a different time and if you don't have a statistical good offense then you aren't going to win.

Yes, but that was before all the rules, that handcuff defenses, were put in to place.

Now, an explosive offense and mediocre defense can get you in the playoffs. You really only need to get two or three stops a game if you can put points on the scoreboard.

If we had an above average offense this season, we really would have been challenging for the West.

I hate all these stupid rules put on defenses. I see way too many TDs and big plays given up because the defense was too gun shy to make a play for fear of another flag.

It shouldn't have been such a big loss but on this team it was, losing Luke Hasz was a death sentence.

Losing a freshman tight end, shouldn’t be a season killer. Especially when the next week the next freshman stepped up and replaced him just fine.
