Let’s say there’s a miracle and Kiffin and the boys win out. But bad things happen and Ole Miss gets left out of the playoff at 11-1 with a loss to Bama and a win in Athens over the defending back-to-back champs.

1) Ole Miss wins out and LSU beats Bama so there’s a three-way tie atop the SEC West at 7-1. Then the champion is determined by the conference record of each team’s eastern division opponents.

2) Bama or LSU represent the SEC West in the title game with a worse overall record because Ole Miss played winless Vandy out of the East. Rebs still hang the banner.

3) 2-loss LSU or Bama knock off UGA and claim a spot in the playoffs (this is Georgia’s nightmare too now)

4) Three P5 conference champions go undefeated or suffer only one loss.

5) Rebs’ most successful season in the past 50 years is rewarded with a trip to a NY6 bowl.

6) Kiffin takes the open Florida job before the bowl game and Ole Miss loses. 11-1 regular season. No trophies, only sadness.

You’re not even winning the West much less ever making the playoffs LOL
Not with that awful coach you have at least for now

Even if Ole Miss wins out the media isn’t going to allow us to go the playoffs. Bama would need to lose 2.

Given that your scenario involves beating UGA in Athens it is all the better for Reb fans that they will not face such sadness....

I don’t see them putting a 2 loss SEC team in over a 1 loss SEC team

In this scenario it will be OM in playoffs or no SEC team in playoffs

A 2 loss team isn’t making the playoffs

neither one is getting in with 2 losses. If the SECCG is UGA's first loss they probably still get in. 2nd, If there are other 1 loss conference champs they are gonna get in.
The one thing the committee has done is been constant on no 2 loss teams regardless of conference championships you win.
TCU was an example just last year.

Now I realize I’ve been looking at this all wrong. Before I wanted ole miss to lose just to get them out of the way.

Now I realize my mistake.

I need this to happen

If any Ole Miss fans want to put a little money on whether they make the playoffs, I'm game.
