Good. Folks down voting post and all I'm trying to do is see what the heck is going on because I don't know if y'all knew this or not but Rylan commented on a post via Instagram (I think) that stated something like..

Made it to the Sweet 16
Made it to the Elite 8
Made it to the Final 4
Now the only thing left to do is Win A Championship

Rylan added "No Cap" meaning No Lie

Knowing that he's transferring it could've had Mo and the other players looking at it like this guy don't think we are good enough to win a Championship here. So I didn't know if they were joking or not.

I see Bamagoat knows what IG post I'm talking about.

I don't know if he is or not. I surely hope not though because he's a likeable guy for sure.

The IG post just made it seem like he threw a jab at Bama. He probably didn't mean it that way though but who knows.

So after the Final 4, Suttles tweeted Griffen’s quote that was something along the lines of “I’ve made the Sweet 16, Elite 8, and Final 4. I’m ready to take to next step.” Griffen also spent a lot of time talking about how Oats is more or less guaranteed to win a National Championship at some point

Since entering the portal, Griffen has reposted that quote. Indicating that Bama has a ceiling and that’s why he’s transferring. It comes across as a bullshite excuse when the real reason is probably money. Especially when it contradicts statements he made about Oats 5 days ago

I try not to blame kids for making the money play during their short period of eligibility. Just don’t feed us lies on the way out

Money I'm guessing.

Kansas wanted him last off season though and they've been the first one's to reach out.

Yeah i cant blame them for taking the money (especially a mid level talent like Griffen who wont do shite in the nba) but dont bad mouth the people who helped put you in the position to make the money. Just makes him sound like an a-hole.

Griffen. Decent defender. Fair 3 point shooter.

Very awkward driving to the basket. Turn over oriented.

OK. I don't understand. If Griff transfers to a mid major or lower tier team than BAMA like Cosby is going to, I'll eat crow, but how are you calling Griff mid level, and say he's leaving for money in the same post?
Why would a team, who can compete for a natty pay Griff more than he's making at BAMA if he is mid-level?
Christian Laettner didn't do shite in the NBA either. How much NIL money do you think he would've made if he could've earned while he was at Duke? Point is, you can be a great collegiate player and have a great NBA career. Is Griff Laettner? No, but the point is, college players aren't making NIL money based on what they'll do in the NBA.
The other point is Griff can't be "mid" and cash a fat check from UCONN or Arkansas or UK. Dude was BAMA's best defender on a Final Four squad. This "mid-level" shite is ridiculous.

It's hilarious how they try to act like it's about winning, fit with the program, player development, etc. - basically everything but money - even though they are leaving a place where they won a ton of games, were starting, showed year over year improvement in their performance, and didn't undergo a coaching change. I mean what else is there besides money in that scenario? Just own it. It's not against the rules.

He is mid level in terms of overall basketball talent. A big payday from a college is probably the best he can expect from his basketball skills. Thats why i said i dont blame him.

But dont pretend he is some high NBA level talent. Also dont pretend he is some lockdown defender. Our defense was atrocious most of the year. He aint Herb Jones. He is much closer to John Petty.

I won't suffer that stupidity. Just admit you're getting paid more than Alabama is willing to match for your play.

These dudes have grown up in the social media age. Likes on their social media are super important because they all want to be monetized and loved Nobody likes a dick. Dicks leave for money. Dicks don't get monetized on Xwitter.
And it isn't just about monetization either. Who wants to read daily on their social media pages that people hate them. These guys take social media very seriously.

So you saying he left bc he didnt get enough love on social media?

Im sure he got plenty of pussy. Last time i was on campus i think i counted a million girls. Back in my day that was way better than social media clout.

I think he's saying that it is bad for his media perception to say he left for a payday.

Says you. You aren't writing checks to these players. Mid level players don't get big fat checks.
Again, if Griff doesn't get paid, I'll eat my words, but all signs are leaning toward a big pay day. Big pay days don't come to mid level guys not named "Bronny".

NBA has NOTHING to do with it. Dudes aren't getting paid based on what they'll do in the NBA.

WTF?? No. I'm saying he isn't admitting he's leaving BAMA because of money because he doesn't want the blowback on his social media.
