We are about to go on a run and then we will reel in some recruits and portal targets in the offseason. I am calling right now, 3-4, our bottom. We will go bowling as well.

Starts next week. Still gotta take it one at a time.
I have no idea what we do on offense. Can we hold all these teams to 20 or less?

I had hoped for 7-5. Will take 6-6 right now. The last 4 game stretch was brutal, the next 4 we could go 4-0 and 0-4.

Don’t care how bad the QBs are but only throwing 6 passes through 3 quarters of Football will get your arse beat by most teams with a pulse. These next 4 games could easily look like the Cal game.

We know.
I found this post on AUF.
It is a good one for those that are melting.

Meaningful change is rarely as easy or as quick as you wish it to be. Sitting at 3-3, this is how I see the members of this board breaking:
1. Some are already throwing in the towel on CHF and/or certain members of his staff with mentions of JABA, history repeating itself, why does this always happen to us etc.;
2. Some are still waiting and wondering;
3. Some are confident that with time and recruiting we will get there in the next 2 to 3 years.
Counting this year, it has been 7 long years since we last had double digit wins (10). In the 5 years prior to this year, we averaged 6.8 wins per year. In the most recent past, i.e. the last 3 years prior to this year, we have averaged 5.6 wins and 6.3 losses. So, we have been an average football team for awhile.
Not only were we an average team when Harsin arrived, he compounded a less than ideal situation by recruiting poorly. Then, what he lacked in poor recruiting he made up for by not being able to retain players. In 2021, we had 17 players leave the program. 1 of them will likely be one of the top 5 vote getters for the Heisman. 2 of them we will see Saturday night. 1 starts on Kentucky's 0line. 1 was a 5 star defensive lineman. Our 2021 class contained --- wait for it -- just 18 signees.
Bottom line we were an average football team when Harsin arrived. Once here, as multiple high coaches have said, he did not recruit. And on top of that, Harsin lost many players to the portal. It is going to take time to get us back where we want to be.

I was watching some videos from our crowd last night and man, I really wish took my family to last night's game instead.
I like this video though. As long we continue providing one of the best atmospheres in CFB we are breeding fruitful opportunity to take the bull by the horns.

Auburn will get there.
With Hugh Freeze.
It will just take time. I refuse to judge him on 3 months of time to build a team through the portal.

We were in the upper deck by the Ole Miss fans. it was a great atmosphere the entire game...until Ole Miss got up by 14... then folks started leaving.
it was our first game in person in many years.... quite the change from when I was a grad student in the 80s.
Hopefully recruits enjoyed it as well.

We really didn't look for gear but out of habit went into J&M and the University Bookstore.
Plenty of stuff in both.
Sad to see Anders gone....bought many a book and gear there.

We can get some serious momentum going if we win the next 4 which is very possible.
4 game winning streak going into Bama. That stadium would be rocking.

The atmosphere was awesome all night.
Had an Ole Miss fan tell me, “if we were 3-3 our stadium would be empty. Y’all were impressive.”

Not worried about the record
I'm worried about the Gus-like decision making and mindset. So often late in the Gus years things were just completely inexplicable - it wasn't clear what he was trying to accomplish or why things that seemed effective in limited doses weren't tried more. Add to that the yo-yoing of offensive responsibilities. It always seemed to me to be an absurd combination of hubris and stubbornness all while failing miserably. Terrible combo to witness.
That's how I feel with what we're seeing on offense. Splitting play calling by QB and running two QBs deep into the season seems bizarre and impractical even with an average offense that can score. When you add to it the reality that it's not working at all and setting new standards for offensive ineptitude, and it will apparently continue - it's not confidence inspiring.

Stop rotating QB's the experiment doesn't work. Stop rotating running backs. If Hunter looks like the old Hunter .....leave the others on the bench.
