NOT THE O LINE COACH.... But the player... is addressing it. Where ya at, Wolford?! Why aren't you out here answering questions.

Update: it's a policy of Saban not let position coaches answer for their performance in front of a mic.

One, assistants don’t talk to the media. Except in August (usually only the coordinators) and again during SEC championship and bowl game media days.

Two, in the NIL era players are making regularly scheduled appearances on radio shows and being asked these sort of questions.

But you haven't noticed that assistants never speak to the media, outside of pre-season or bowl games?

in most big games at the end of the year the media says it is a treat to have so and so on the staff talk to us because NS doesnt allow it during the regular season. You dont have to be a media person to have heard this spill from him in 17 years. You must be a band wagon follower

Saban takes that responsibility from them so they can focus strictly on preparation, recruiting, etc.

Odd, that's the same reason the assistant coaches don't do interviews.

This and Saban can control the narrative and, honestly, the sportswriters. He can shut stuff down. He can keep info under-wraps

It's the "One Voice" policy. He doesn't want assistants talking to the media and saying things that might contradict what he wants put out there.

At the end of the day, it's an unnecessary distraction.
