The first six games should be a good barometer on where we're at as a team.

There's enough talent to win every SEC game this year.

Problem is finding the consistent effort and attention to detail.

Last game was BY FAR our best game on offense we've played all year. And defensively, for the majority of the game, it was pretty damn good as well.

The only reason the game was close was their second chance points.

Menifield could be the key this year. He obviously runs PG better than Ellis.

I think he will be primary ball handler, and when offense isn't clicking they will go to Mark middle pick and roll action.

Versus Auburn
• This will be the 60th meeting between Arkansas and Auburn. All but one
(a meeting in the 1967-68 season in Oklahoma City) have come since
Arkansas joined the SEC.
• The Razorbacks own a 38-21 advantage in the series including a 23-5 mark
in games played in Fayetteville.
• The teams split games last season (Auburn winning at Auburn and
Arkansas winning at the SEC Tournament) and the Razorbacks have won
14 of the last 19.
• Last time Auburn came to Bud Walton Arena, Arkansas took down #1 Auburn,
80-76, in overtime.

Arkansas in SEC Openers
• Arkansas opens SEC play on Saturday by hosting Auburn.
• The Razorbacks are 18-14 all-time in SEC openers and 12-4 when
opening SEC play at home.
• Auburn was Arkansas’ first-ever SEC game. The Razorbacks won that
game, 110-92, on Jan. 4, 1992 in Fayetteville. Arkansas is 4-0 versus
Auburn in SEC openers (1-0 at home and 3-0 at Auburn).
• This year snaps a three-year streak of opening SEC play on the road. In
fact, Arkansas had played 8 of the last 11 SEC openers on the road.
^ After winning at Auburn three years ago to open SEC play in Coach Muss’
second year with the Hogs, Arkansas lost its last two SEC openers (at Miss
State and at LSU).

Menifield Named SEC Player of the Week
• Arkansas sophomore guard Keyon Menifield Jr., was named the SEC Player
of the Week after scoring a career-high 32 points in the win over UNC
Wilmington last Saturday.
• Menifield was 8-of-14 from the field (including 3-of-7 from 3-point range)
while connecting on 13-of-17 from the free throw line. In fact, he drew nine
fouls while committing zero. He added five assists and four rebounds.
• Also, in a 16-point win, Menifield was one of just two Razorbacks with a
plus/minus in double digits at +17.
• Menifield scored 17 of his 32 in the first half as Arkansas took a sevenpoint lead at the break, going 5-of-7 from the field (2-of-3 from deep) and
making 5-of-8 from the line. He was the only Razorback to play all 20
minutes of the second half where he scored 15 points thank to making
8-of-9 at the line.
• Got his first start (in his third game) as a Razorback. It was his sixth career
game with at least 20 points, five coming last season at Washington.
• This was the 18th time a Razorback has scored at least 30 points in a game
(and the second time this season). Overall, it is the 139th time a Razorback
has scored at least 30 points and Menifield is the 53rd Razorback to
accomplish the feat,
• By scoring 30-plus points in just his third game as a Razorback, Menifield
ties Ted Thompson for the quickest to 30 points in a Razorback uniform.
Thompson scored 33 points in his third game (vs. Western Kentucky
12/3/1973).

Best Offensive Team in Muss Era ... Or On Pace To Be
• At its current pace, this Arkansas team is the best producing the best numbers in the Musselman era.

2022-23 46.6% FG (60th NCAA) 31.3% 3PT (315th NCAA) 22.6 FTA/gm (17th NCAA) - 810 FTA was 10th in NCAA
2021-22 43.4% FG (218th NCAA) 30.4% 3PT (320th NCAA) 22.5 FTA/gm (8th NCAA) - 833 FTA was 1st in the NCAA

Ladybacks lose SEC opener to last place Kentucky (7-7) by 10.

Neighbors is toast with another shitty SEC slate and no tournament. No choice if it crashes and burns again.

His teams are so hard to watch. It is sad because there is some legit girls talent on their team.

The talent is there to be a perennial NCAA Tourney team. The execution... not so much.

Can’t settle for mid range jumpers today against Broome and Jaylin Williams.

Also can’t let Auburn get into transition a ton. We are horrible at it and they are elite at it.

This team is mentally weak.

Good luck winning 9 conference games with this bunch.
