Kirby said on Dawgnation that the shorter, quicker passing game is due mainly to the injury situation on offense at WR and RBs. We have players that weren't counted on as major players having to carry a bigger load. Same for the defense. New players are still adjusting to the complicated schemes. He expects things will improve with more experience.

So Ladd is our only deep threat? What about Arian? Why not Lovett or Thomas ? I’m not buying it

How many yards in offense did we have last game and what was the difference in time of possession?

Beck isn’t fully confident yet to let it fly

He will get there soon

Ladd is now officially out against UAB

Improve? I was told this was all calculated to wear opponents down and everything is fine. Kirby sounds cünty to me

I'd be surprised if we see him again

If he didn’t go against SC I would have been surprised to see him this week. Hopefully soon.

How many yards did we have vs USC and what was our time of possession?

It'd be interesting to see how many passes Beck has thrown 20-plus yards past the line of scrimmage relative to Bennett's first 3 games of last season. Doesn't feel like very many, but maybe that's just my perception and actually not true.

Does it matter if what we are doing is working?

It does to Monday morning QBs and armchair coaches.

Ladd will be getting the exact same Pickens and AD treatment from years past.
Not saying that’s a terrible thing he needs to protect his future as an NFL stud but the difference is those years especially with AD even if they came back and made huge playoff plays we proved through a whole season we didn’t actually have to have them just a plus.

We desperately need Ladd. Idk what the frick is wrong with the offense Beck is supposed to be only playing because he can let it ride deep on time, read correctly, and with accuracy. We have more athletic guys behind him to operate a short pass, running focused and RPO offense that also can maximize our TE

Maybe they are a bit worse than I thought but I’m not totally shocked the OL and the middle of the DL aren’t as good as they are last year. What has surprised me is the lack of pass rush and chaos plays. Maybe that is also related to the lack of push from the middle of the DL.

We're averaging 39 PPG on cruise control with several injuries, and a new QB and OC.

Might we be a little spoiled?
