Would be nice to see some fight out of the guys today. Bama offense has got to put some runs up because the throwing staff is definitely going to give up runs.

It has become painfully obvious that with our injured pitchers that we do not have enough quality pitching to be competitive at the highest level in the SEC this year.

So Kentucky looks like they are going to win the East
Next week we got Arkansas who looks like they’re going to win the West running away.
Crazy to think that the back half of our schedule that includes LSU, aTm, and the MS schools will be the weaker half of our schedule. I’m sure LSU will be clicking on a cylinders and look like a CWS team when we get to them.
We could be in a little trouble guys.

Been saying that all year but some don’t want to admit it. Do we have SOME quality SEC type arms ? Yes. Just don’t believe we have enough that are ready this year. Love the direction the team seems to be going under Vaughn though . Thank god for Greg Byrne

Do we point the finger at our beloved Jason Jackson for our pitching failures thus far?

Not IMO. It is obvious to the eyes that we have no depth on the mound this year. We need to get more than 4-5 innings out of our starters to even have a chance . Losing Quick and Banks, two with experience just makes things tougher. Hopefully we can hang on to Lebron and a couple of the young arms and build around that . I don’t think hitting will be a problem as long as Vaughn is there

AD pitching like crap. Just gave up a 3 run bomb. Days when he is on he looks like a world beater. And the other days he is horrible.
Top of this inning we had a player on a called third strike with two runners on. Now 0-17 RISP.

He also took strike 1 and strike 2.
Looks like BP going on out there. KY padding those hitting stats against our throwers.

Teams have the scouting report on AD now. He has to get a third pitch and work on his command

He damn sure needs a change up!

Kentuckys second baseman with a 42 inch vertical to rob McCants of extra bases.
Story of the series.

How much longer does Vaughn leave Sleight in the line up? He’s been awful. We cant hit with runners on base. Davis’ ego has been a lot bigger than his performances.

Alabama baseball suffered a 10-1 loss to 12th-ranked Kentucky on Sunday at Kentucky Proud Park. The loss moved the 11th-ranked Crimson Tide to 22-10 on the season and 4-8 in Southeastern Conference play.
Kentucky got on the board with three in the second with Alabama getting a run of its own in the top of the third. The Wildcats then added two in the home half of the third before putting the game out of reach with a five-run seventh.
Mason Moore (7-0) got the win after allowing one run on four hits and two walks with six strikeouts. The loss went to Zane Adams (2-2) who gave up three runs on five hits and a walk with one strikeout in his 2.0 innings of work.
From Head Coach Rob Vaughn
"At the end of the day, (Kentucky) was better for three games in all three phases. They pitched the ball better, they put together better at-bats and they played better defense. It was a tough weekend, and we have to decide how we'll deal with this adversity. I trust this group, and I believe in this group. I think we'll be able to use this to move forward. The process will begin on Tuesday when we get a chance to come back out and face a good South Alabama team."
