Milroe.

I was told they only rushed 3 or 4.

Regardless of how many they sent the OL created two very good pockets on these plays.
Throwing picks when you aren't being pressured is inexcusable unless it is a Hail Mary attempt.

We know why he threw the interceptions; he never saw the interceptor.
First one seemed like a bait&trap similar to Tua’s interception in the Clemson game and the second one was just a brain freeze.

First off, Milroe has serious issues that can't be fixed.
Secondly, screenshots can't tell the whole story but only bits and pieces.

That second picture, the Texas guy at the 22 on the left side of the LOS is coming in unblocked.

Did you watch the game? If you're saying this you must have missed it

But did he show the receivers?! On the second one... There were 2 routes and 1 was getting mugged. Unblocked defender coming from the top of the screen. They had a spy on milroe, so it was a losing play either way. He forced it and threw an int. That was a horrible play call on 1st and ten deep in our territory.
First int was bad. Never looked at open receiver across the middle, but second was just a bad play call all around.

Excellent post TS. I do think the OL was far from perfect, but they've been taking too much crap I think. Even our best OLs usually took a few weeks to get up to speed, and a lot of times I felt that Milroe's movements in the pocket sort of created the pressure more than failures by the OL.

This is dumb af.
Nobody claims there was any pressure on the 2 INTs and it was obvious they were terrible reads.

That's the point.
He made two terrible decisions when he wasn't pressured. Imagine him making a decision with a man in his face.

Go watch the game again, they whipped our arse with 3 or 4 all game and blitzed here or there. They had something absolutely ridiculous like 28 QB pressures on 36 dropbacks.

What is the point when he steps up because of immediate pressure and throws a perfect bomb to Burton?
Milroe made some terrible throws but dear god everyone is acting like he did nothing positive at all. Go watch any other CFB, or NFL games QB's make mistakes. Hell, Joe Burrow was BENCHED because he was so bad Sunday!
It's like everyone was waiting for this kid to fail and cant point out any of the positive things he did. He's 20 years old and so many people are rooting on his downfall.

If the issue is clear, obvious presnap run/pass tells then we have truly entered Mike Shula era territory in 2023.

I advocated for Milroe in the offseason but I respond to performance. He plays with the feel for the game of a true freshman but he’s a third year player. I imagine Jalen Hurts may have looked like this in his 2nd or 3rd career start but I seem to remember him actually leading a comeback in such the game v. Ole Miss…on the road no less.
Milroe just don’t have the it factor and he isn’t developed enough to be a competent college quarterback right now.

I wish Saban would have gone with his gut and benched Milroe on Saturday night.

I didn't want him to fail. I wanted him to succeed.
He didn't.
