Hope we get them. Very good program and fits very well culturally and for team travel.
Since we would need to add 2, invite UNC and shut the expansion down. OU was a terrible choice. They are parasites and now we will be traveling to Norman, Oklahoma for conference games.

LSU will no doubt vote against them

Can we just swap aggie and FSU?

FSU could have been in the SEC decades ago. Bobby Bowden didn't want to have to play ALABAMA and Auburn every year.
Being afraid of competition is never a good look.

The SEC does not need to expand. It needs to kick out deadweight.

Opposite actually. I hate losing to a team and not seeing them on the future schedule.

You are assuming Vandy has ever been SEC ready.

They are currently taking turns kicking LSU’s arse so why not? Rotate them out every year.

They looked very physical abd good in the trenches. Was not expecting that at all from them.

It doesn’t matter who is “SEC ready”. It’s about expanding market share.
Think of it like expansion of a business via acquisition. Clemson and FSU don’t add enough additional market share. UNC and a Virginia team are the most likely next moves.

Funny how the ACC is a “joke conference”according to most on here but y’all want ACC teams to join the almighty SEC
So is the ACC really that shitty of a conference like most on here claim it to be?

If you wanted ou than you really should have held off on mizzou and gotten osu instead
But since mizzou owns the hogs they can stay

Florida State, Miami, Clemson, Va Tech and maybe NC all have the proper resources to be powerhouse teams actually imo. And Pitt would definitely be an upgrade over Vandy, Mizzou and Kentucky.
The problem is all of those except Clemson, and just now maybe FSU and NC have been big time down recently.
Pitt was decent in 2021 but that was one year and a particularly weak year for the ACC in general.
And the only team that was ever SEC level good of the recent past has been Clemson.

Then why hasn't Alabama played a road game against a top tier out of conference opponent since the 80s?

No way in Hell do I want FSU. Who wants to listen to that fake Indian chanting for three hours? Sounds like something out of a bad 1950s western. We played them in the Cotton Bowl in the 90s and that shite was like psychological torture. Worse than SMU playing “Coming Round the Mountain” on continuous loop all game.
