Florida St. won head to head, had the same amount of wins, won their last 6 games, and finished higher in the rankings last season...

Yet they are ranked 3 spots behind LSU who lost 2 of their last 3 including to a 7 loss Texas A&M team.

Dang dude... you got a little bit of seminole running out the corner of your mouth.

Imagine a highly ranked ACC team dropping a late season game to a 7 loss in conference foe.

Do you think we would sniff the top 5 the next year?

Probably would be ranked around the 15-25 range.

It's easy for me to imagine. Alabama, Georgia, and Clemson are always ranked on their history rather than current team.

It's a good way to sneak 'em in even when they play god awful schedules and drop games.

I personally think LSU is overrated, their beating Alabama in OT apparently cancelled out their 4 losses.

I actually think LSU is a tad overrated as well. LSU is probably a year away IMO. I have LSU going 9-3 this year

That said, you never know… LSU finally has a coach who knows what he’s doing.

LSU nearly beat FSU last year with a first-year coach who inherited 39 scholarship players.

I don’t think it’s a crazy (or biased) notion that LSU is favored over FSU this season.

You are right no need to look any further as to why the SEC might get the benefiti of the doubt.

FSU beat LSU in game one of a new coach and QB. Also, they had just finished a season with 39 scholarship players. It took a fumbled kickoff and two blocked field goals to beat LSU. FSU’s only win against a ranked team last year occurred against LSU. Meanwhile , LSU beat Ole Miss, Miss St and Alabama. The Tide would have beaten FSU by 4 TDS last year. LSU and Ohio St were the only two teams to put up 30 or more against Georgia last year. Next closest point total is 22. Pretty sure there are plenty of objective reasons for the ranking and spread. We will all know by 11 pm Sunday.

We? Lol. A quick look back at your schedule reveals you haven't won a bowl game since 2018.

Since you are bringing up historical results, what are your thoughts on clemson’s all-time record vs Auburn (15-34-2)?

FSU had a week 0 game last year to work out issues. LSU did not and went in blind.

LSU only lost on a missed PAT. 1st of many ST’s blunders during the 22 season

LSU beat Alabama…. Who did FSU beat?

I'm 90 percent sure you're a usce alter so I'll just say this. Women's basketball will be here in a few months, we know you guys are pathetic at football but hey if there weren't losers there couldn't be winners so thanks for your conference "contributions" lol. Also just in case you are literally a clemson fan that is in fact this stupid. Enjoy funding unc basketball until you become too poor to compete at football.

None of which should matter. We are ranking this year. When you sign like 20 transfers, you can't brag about how good you were last year.

Nor can you really brag about how good or how high you rank this year before having ever teed the the ball up.

Complaining about preseason rankings lol. Every damn year.

The two teams play on Sunday. Whoever wins will be ranked ahead of the other the following week. Where they're ranked preseason literally doesn't matter.
