OU has been a player for a long time ….. we got behind for the last month to Texas and A@M and yes his mom wants him at OU… not nil related for OU…. A@M we already know .

Can you drop a link where you guys are getting info? It sounds like y’all are giving opinions as fact and claiming “sources”. It looks dishonest based on what I’ve seen.

It’s behind pay walls at 247 and Rivals. Parker thune and Brandon Drumm say Todd bates is now planning on traveling to his game Friday. All the OU sources say it’s OU and A&M.
From the A&M side apparently Mike Roach put up a message on TexAgs that he is close to putting in a pick to A&M
Seems like a coin flip at this point but sounds like Texas has faded.

The chatter over on Surly is that his mother doesn't like OU because she views it as an inferior academic background for her child. That is from a poster there so who knows . . . . probably as accurate as what the pay guys are saying.
The few pay sites are saying the usual bs about the situation being fluid and it will come down to the wire and nothing being settled at the moment.

I read the one you did from the tu 247 site, and another On3 saying academics is their first priority. But looks like he’s OU bound bc he’s only talking to OU reporters lol. They are the only ones in the know apparently. I kid, I kid.
I just find it odd it went from an LSU and horn battle as recently as last week to now they are likely not it? It would be NIL if he picks A&M or OU. How did A&M and OU magically jump horn and his home state in less than a week.

We haven’t been a real player in his recruitment for a long time. Everything we’ve heard is that he and his family were miffed we didn’t offer him during the summer going into his junior year after camping. He took a bunch of visits to other schools and has not shown much interest on our end since his recruitment picked up earlier this year. We’ve had turnover at DL coach every year and our new hire Jimmy Lindsey is out for the year with a serious health issue. There’s been as much or more buzz around Ohio State, OU, A&M, and Texas. He will not be committing to us this week. Who knows if his commitment sticks or changes before signing day. This kid is very shy and hasn’t told anyone a thing.

Same boat. Don’t think it’s A&M and no one in the A&M knows anything. That’s why I keep giving Sooners a hard time mentioning us.
I guess it’s probably between OU, Ohio State or horn then. If he land with you guys or us, that would truly be random but cool.

I swooped by 247 and they just got news but it’s behind a paywall. Stopped over by horn247 bc they have a thread regarding Roach’s pick. Very interesting discussion they got going on bc like us here, there is virtually no info on the kid lol. This one is going to be a fun finish.

Not getting my hopes up but you have to like the way Venables is recruiting his type of recruits …. There still is a small portion of kids who value the right things believe it or not … glad he stays away from the Arik Gilbert’s of the world .

Mojo stop with these backhanded comments lol the kid isn’t doing the right thing bc only if he commits to Sooner, bc you guys try to present yourselves as “honorable” and everyone else, including the kids home state school is paying or being unscrupulous. That’s not how it works. No one here thinks you guys aren’t dropping bags and using Clemson’s success as OU’s. Recruiting is a dirty game and you guys aren’t Boy Scouts. No one is lol.

I'm still slow to believe this. We normally hear more out of the A&M side when A&M lands a high profile kid like this, and the insiders from others teams laugh at the A&M insiders right about until the kid announces. This is backwards. Even the A&M guys are just saying that they are hearing from some of their sources at other schools, not from the kid or the family or from A&M football personnel.

There is definitely smoke this morning. It sounds like all his finalist are going full court press these last 48ish hours. Will be fun.
