It’s not often I have a decent source, but in this instance I do. We will have to fight to keep him if they want him. Their top 3 is apparently Lanning, Sark and Kiffin. Thankfully Kiffin isn’t their first choice. If they get Lanning then we have to worry about Oregon potentially coming after him. Going to be a wild few weeks.

His retirement had to be planned to some extent, right? I feel like Bama would have already had their guy picked out, but I don’t know how all that works. Basically I’m expecting a quick decision and for the next HC announcement not to take too long?

I would think Dabo would be at the top of the list. You would think he would need a fresh start as well with the ACC drama and clemson being behind in the NIL game.

Everyone talks lists and yes every AD has a list in their pocket of potential coaching replacements but it comes down to how receptive the coach and his agent are. We know Lane will hear what they have to say. Sark is my pick but he does have some baggage. Hopefully Lane is 4th or 5th on said list.
