AP Poll we came in at 11. I know it’s meaningless, but our media department should find every journalist that put Oklahoma ahead of us and ban them from ever covering us in oxford. Anyone who did that isn’t being rational and is doing it on purpose

Just looked at that. I guess Kansas is a better football team than Alabama.

As you said, the AP poll is absolutely meaningless after the CFP poll comes out Tuesday.

I can’t see them ranking Oklahoma ahead of us. There is absolutely no rationale to support that. Oklahoma told the nation last week they were a bunch of frauds

It gets people fired up and talking but it’s whatever

Let’s just keep winning. That’s all I care about.

Let’s mash the Aggies .

Stole this off On3

Team 2--- 7 wins 1 Loss
1 win over top 10

I don’t agree with the Oklahoma ranking either, but what about Penn State? I don’t follow them, but from a quick glance I see they beat a bunch of teams I’ve never heard of, beat a 2 loss Iowa that just dropped one to Minnesota, and lost to Ohio State. What am I missing? Is their Iowa (24) win really better than our LSU (13) win? I know our other wins like Tulane (21) are absolutely stronger than any others they’ve had.

In reality, Oklahoma and Penn State have better name recognition despite playing in a worse conference and having played worse teams.

Just have to beat the team in front of us and we'll get there.

Penn State is trash. Their offense is really bad. If we played them we would win something like 31-13.

Penn State and OU are non issues in the long run.

If we handle business this weekend and shock the world against UGA we will skyrocket them easily.

I go through bouts of pessimism and optimism about the rest of this season. On one hand, there’s the usual “well it’s about that time in the season we lose a tough game and collapse. A&M seems like the perfect team to do that to us.”

Then I turn around and think “Kiffin and this team are very focussed and are going into this expecting a win and are doing all the right things. We are going 10-2 at worst”.

I fricking hate being an Ole Miss fan sometimes

Honestly, 10-2 would be a great season for us - especially given this schedule. 11-1 would be fun, but if we can go 10-2 it would be hard to find a whole lot to complain about.

Previously, Lane has circled the aTm game. Jimbo's crootin' antics really chapped Lane's arse. I hope he has this one circled, because 8-1 (5-1) >>>>>>>>>>>>> 7-2 (5-2).

Oh I’d be thrilled with 10-2 and our only losses being to Bama and Georgia. If we somehow went 11-1 I don’t know what I’d do with myself.

We have a real opportunity to seize control and be the premier program in the state of Mississippi with how dysfunctional State is right now. We’ve opened up the check books, kept Lane after he’s had multiple programs come to him, made huge strides in the NIL game and it seems like with Golding we are making headway in high school recruiting again.

If we do finish 10-2 or 11-1 then we will be heading into the Super Conference era in VERY good shape

FWIW, ESPN math gives us a 33% of making the playoffs if we win out but miss the SEC championship game. Up from 26% last week.

We really need to keep winning and have some chaos around us

ah man I just went back to watch it and you’re right. It’s been too long I completely forgot about Scott

Side note: that n/w/n uni combo with navy lettering just reminds me of a simpler (and better) time. If freeze ever came back (highly unlikely) we oughta bust that combo out again

To be fair Scott got injured later in the year and didn't do too much outside of that and the Texas punt return if I remember correctly.
