We've had some serious QB talent the past few years. I wish Brodie had come along during the Saban era.

8. Coker
9. Sims

Don't bust my chops too bad that was one take. Also I based this solely on their UA body of work.

last 4 QB's have thrown 271 Td's and 42 INTs. That's nuts.

Crazy how much the game has changed. Stat wise this used to be considered solid

Yeah, the Leach Air Raid impact on the game is pretty noticeable. Even if teams didn't go full Air Raid, short passing game has resulted in what you might call inflated QB stats. What used to be runs are now just short passes.

Crazy that Mac Jones has pound for pound the best stats of the bunch. Pretty much zero hype, a backup that no one really wanted to see before he started showing some stuff in 2019.

Nah. They played a role but it was mainly turning around and giving it to the Heisman trophy winning RB. Love the grit of both guys though. Could be a spot or two low but not “way” too low.

This isn’t a bad list except that Zow should definitely be bottom 3. There’s a lot of revisionist history about Zow because of one good Iron Bowl performance, but over his whole career, he was terrible. He threw about as many picks as TDs.

Played well against Florida in ‘99.

Be interesting to see AJ with the WR talent from 2017-2021.

1. AJ He has something no one else on the list has.
2. Mac. Undefeated. Wire to wire. Dominant and immaculate single season.
2. Tua. 2nd and 26.
3. Young...no titles but he carried his teams. Heisman
4. Coker..who wouldn't go to war with this guy?
5. McElroy. Titles matter.
6. Hurts. A favorite, but titles matter.
7. Croyle. Right place. Wrong time. Fragile.
8. Sims. Fan favorite. What a wonderful surprise and a fun season. Came up short.
9. JPW. Survived Shula. 08 season was so fun. Just couldn't get past Florida or he'd be ahead of some of these others.
10. Zow. The Florida and Auburn wins eclipse anything I remember from Watts.

Both Tua and Mac put up Heisman worthy seasons. Hate BY didn't nab a title as a starter...with the Heisman that would have put him at #1 overall easily.

Mac was just insane in 2020...best season ever... offensive juggernaut.

Tua may be the most purely talented QB to date at Bama.

AJ has 3 rings...2 as a starter. That's what it's all about in the end.

He had solid numbers too.

Over 9,000 career passing yards and 77 career TD passes. He was also the first QB in Tide history to pass for over 3,000 yards in a season. What's more? He was a Bama boy through and through. Born and raised in the state and grew up wanting to play for the Tide.

Factored heavily in my ranking. Not giving AJ credit as a backup. Not giving Hurts credit for 2017. Sure, Hurts was at the helm for 2016 and 2017 but was coming up short in both.

But AJ was wire-to-wire for TWO championsips.
Tua wasn't wire to wire for any championships...but he definitely closed out 2017.

I’d switch AJ and Hurts. AJ was a better college passer and won 2 rings.
