The first thing that came to mind was Zach Calzada beating Bama a couple years ago. We had looked like absolute crap until that game.

I wouldn't say that was shocking. We were a really good team.

Yes. Aggie's win over Bama in '21 was shocking. Although Aggie always plays Bama tough in College Station.

Wasn't the only time that happened under Muschamp. We held FSU to 95 yards in 2011 and still lost 24-7.

We held Florida to 183 yards and lost 44-11 in 2012

2006 vs Auburn is on my list too. Stafford's coming out party.
1997 win over Florida and the 1985 win when Florida was ranked #1 are also on my list.

Edit-- Cotton Bowl win over Texas in 1984.
What time is it in Texas? 10 to 9.

1997 LSU vs. #1 Florida. Tigers won 28-21. Kevin Faulk and Herb Tyler were magic that night.

Now this one was shocking.

Rebs were coming off of the Ed O years and had no idea what talent we had. We beat Tim Tebow and Gata in the Swamp. We stuffed the Tebow dive on 4th down!

For Bama: 1992 Sugar Bowl

Against Bama: Kick 6.

That loss wasn't shocking.

The way it ended was shocking.

But the loss itself wasn't shocking at all. Auburn was #4 in the country and playing before a home crowd. That's a recipe for Bama heartbreak.

Texas beating OU in 2015.

Texas was 1-4 (finished 5-7) and OU was undefeated (finished 11-1 and went to the playoff)

That was probably the worst Texas team I've watched since I've followed them the past 22 years. Made no sense how Texas trotted out a bunch of freshmen and beat a very good Sooners team

That fact that something like that 2015 game has the potential to erupt just about any year in the Cotton Bowl is what makes it so great...and sometimes extremely frustrating.

The energy level in that stadium every October, both on the field and in the stands, absolutely lends itself to chaos. It's beautiful.

Of course there are the occasional blowouts where one end of the stadium gets really quiet, but what a game overall.

Tell that to all the fans who rushed the field. Ole Miss had beaten ALABAMA 8 times in their history. Lost 10 in a row and that win wouldn't resonate as massive?

Now it was later vacated so that probably took the shine off the apple. But at the time it was big.

1992 - Sugar Bowl - BAMA vs Miami

I won a new in the box 1955 model 12 Winchester 12 gauge (field grade) 28inch full choke shotgun on that game...on a numbers board at work. I can't remember the details but I think something happened late in the second quarter that made the score kind of weird...I think I won the second quarter and had some lousy numbers but I could be wrong. Gun is worth about $2000. Not bad for a $1 square!

I was on the field.

But no, it wasn't shocking. We were a very good team and we knew it. We knew we could hang with y'all and we did. In fact, y'all were gifted a TD on a missed facemask call, so it should have never been that close anyways.

Another thing: vacating the win doesn't mean jackshit to any of us.

1975 and 1976 WLOCP...Gators heavy favorites in both. In 75 they were winning by about 24 points at the half and wound up losing by about that many points having not crossed midfield in the second half, if memory serves.

1976 Gators were ranked #1 and UGA dominated them. Game wasn't close.

1996 Auburn - UGA was not very good, Auburn had been mentioned as title contenders. Auburn beat us like a mule for the first half but UGA managed to tie it up and forced it into 4 OTs (I think the first in the SEC but for sure the first for UGA). UGA won it in OT. It was my wife's 30th birthday - 11/16/96. She was at a surprise party at a private room in a pretty nice restaurant in Marietta with about 80 friends and family members. I was 2 hours late. Everyone there was PISSED off with me but her...she told them when UGA scored to pull within 7 I would be late and when we tied it she assured them I would be. She never said boo about it and never has...I married way better than my wife.

And for our new friends from Baja Oklahoma...what time is it in Dallas? 10-9. Texas would have been national champions had they won that game...they didn't and weren't! GO DAWGS!!!

My first thought as well, definitely a surprising game to watch.

Second choice is probably vs OU in 2010. Had an early rough start to the season, but then the change to Tannehill at QB and we were just starting to find our footing. OU was top 10 and I didnt think we had a chance.
