To welcome Texas & OU. It’s no coincidence that the Media Days to Dallas and drop of this hype video were carefully choreographed to kick off this season at Media Days. As a Texas fan, I’m stoked for 2024. But, if their constant promo of the playoffs is any indication, even I’m dreading the next 12 mos of ESPN’s 24/7 marketing blitz.

Yeah, thought it was well done. Just seems early.

The folks over at ESPN really don't know that both of those programs will be middle of the pack starting out? They both are going to need to recruit better to fill out those rosters if they want to compete for Championships here in the SEC cuz it just means more!

We both finished higher than LSU in recruiting the last two years.

That’s what they handed out the last time the conference expanded, and it’s still what Ags/Mizzou have to eat off of. I was expecting the same. ESPN desperately needs cash though. So, the hazing was exchanged for hype.

You are a Tejas and Ohio State fan?
Who else do you cheer for? The Yankees, Lakers, and Cowboys?

Judging how well a team is actually recruiting by only looking at class recruiting ranking finishes doesn’t tell the real story.
Everyone in the SEC has top-flight RB’s, WR’s, and DB’s. How well you recruit the O-line and D-line tells you if you are going to be elite or not.
No one recruited anywhere close to Bama in the O-line & D-line from 2009-2018. Thus, why they dominated. Since 2018, Georgia has recruited the O-line & D-line better than Bama, thus why they are two time National Champions.
Since Kelly arrived, LSU’s O-line recruiting is the best I’ve seen since Saban was here. The D-line is getting recruited at a much better level in terms of depth.
When looking at recruiting, look at who’s getting the elite O-line and D-line recruits and that’s who’s going to win. Right now, Georgia is smashing it out of the park and Bama hasn’t slowed down at all, while LSU has greatly improved in this area.
That’s where Texas & OU have to upgrade their recruiting to compete in this conference with the very best.

Texas hired Sark to build an SEC roster. Focus on the LOS & edge speed on O.
DL recruiting is needing a bump, but he's nailed it otherwise.

Stros, Horns & Texans my man. Bevo Bucks has no connection to tOSU. It was campus currency for UT.

Still feels weird knowing they're joining our league. Aggy has been here over 10 years and that still feels new.

Agree on the weird part. But I think realignment & unionization is going to keep CFB in flux for a while yet.
