“You think (parity) is here?” Alabama coach Nick Saban said after stepping away from the press conference podium. “I think the way Southern Cal, Texas and Texas A&M are spending money … it hasn’t hit yet.”
While Texas A&M still failed to produce a Top 10 class after buying the #1 class the year before, both Texas and USC were able to do so. Both programs are determined to return to relevance after both have been laughing stocks of college football for the last decade plus.
As of now, there are no press conferences scheduled in response to Saban’s latest accusations of pay-for-play, but it will be interesting to see how everything unfolds.

Classic move. Stir up the donors with wild statements that cause them to feel inadequate so they will loosen the purse strings.

Get used to it Nick. There are consequences for being in a poor backwards state.

I mean, isn't everyone doing this now? If you're not, you're way behind.

Lol as if Bama hasn't been doing this

Saban is just mad that he can't stockpile 5 stars anymore with Dodge Chargers
it was the depth that made Bama so good
Now that depth is going elsewhere for NIL and more playing time rather than waiting 2/3 years to see the field
It's impacting every team and unless the rules are scaled back it will continue to be that way
Restricting NIL will only invite more lawsuits
The only way to fix things is to modify the transfer portal or go back to having players sit out a year if they do transfer unless there is a coaching change or that player has graduated

Doesn’t Bama spend like $4M on recruiting annually. He needs to give this line a rest.

It’ll be interesting to see if Sark responds or if he’s been instructed to keep his mouth shut

I loved the responses by Aggie about this class. “The last class was so good no one could find a spot to play in this class”. They really think a team is made up of only starters

Oh look. Another thread where Saban whines about something else

What time can we expect Jumbo's meltdown press conference?

I think this is why you won’t see a response from Texas or USC.
Everybody but Aggy fans knew that Jimbo’s press conference would backfire.
Sure enough…

Are you talking about Jimbo’s response last year? You know Saban made those comments this week right? Jimbo hasn’t said anything or was asked regarding this in his press conference yesterday. It was mainly about the schedule and coach speak.

Yes, I’m talking about the emergency press conference that Jimbo called last year before failing to sign a Top 10 class.
Try and keep up.
Try and keep up.

Come to Alabama or Georgia and get paid. Don't join up with the poors.

The two events are unrelated bud. But if Bama loses to horn out the gate, everyone is gonna smell blood in the water. Can’t wait.

Dementia/Alzheimer's, even in it's early stages, is a terrible thing.

Good play by Saban. I’d tell my ego-centric, rich boosters others are outspending them too.
