Eason signed a $4,027,000 contract most recently.

Bennett signed a $4,527,000 contract.

Surprised Eason is still in the league tbh. Doesn't seem very sharp at all, but I'm glad he's still making money.

Coming in I had Eason way overrated. Eason looked terrific in his first G Day game but that was his high point. He did have some wins though and one come back win against Auburn. Ole Miss slaughtered us and we had the home heartbreak against the Vols.

Don't forget his shitass performance in the GT loss.

Does anyone here still remember the people who said firing Richt was wrong because Eason might decommit?

I didn't think that Saint Richt was good enough but I had my doubts about Kirby. It feels great to be wrong.

I wasn’t a huge fan of Eason but he had a great game against Tennessee.

I'll never forget that game. That was the last loss we had to a mediocre team. We had Tech beat and I recall Eason rifled a short pass, way too hard, and it bounced off his shoulder pads. Tech went down the field and score the game winning touchdown. Paul Johnson made his infamous "not bad for a bunch of 3 star recruits, eh?" comment after the game.

sounds like a probhlem for our defense

I love that we're in such an infathomable place as a program right now, an "I can't believe we'll ever get to that level in the rest of my life as long as I live" type of place, that we have literally nothing to worry or fret or argue over aside from a QB that played here one season 7 years ago.

Eason's visit in December of that cycle needs its own exposé. We had entire bars full of college students and adults loudly proclaiming and chanting about his savior status for the Dawgs.

Rumor on campus was SAE was setting Eason up all weekend with parties/women/you name it. It was like those church retreats were everyone has to get on stage and say something about being saved that weekend, but with what Eason meant to them and their fandom

I recall Richt flying on his own dime to see him in Washington right before he was let go

The old "UGA way". Let CMR pay his own way for a trip to save our #1 recruit during a coaching change. Glad those days are over.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen a guy who needed a redshirt year as bad as Eason did. He was a big fish in a small pond playing high school ball in Washington and his high school games looked like two NAIA teams playing each other. The speed of the SEC is a lot for any high school player. It was especially overwhelming for him.

Even though we lost, that comeback drive for a go ahead TD against Tennessee was clutch. Probably his biggest moment even though it was a loss.
