Nick Saban would have 10 national titles at Alabama if he didn't have to play in the SEC West. I love how UGA fans use Tennessee being good for 1 year as some kind of badge of honor, meanwhile they play Vandy, Kentucky, Mizzou, and South Carolina every year and UF has been pretty awful since Meyer left.

That was the worst “national championship” team of all time.
So you still got nothing

You can’t beat who you don’t play. Tulane in 1998 beat everyone they played. I would have liked our chances against Tennessee but as you may recall this was the first year under BCS rules for the bowls so we didn’t get that matchup and just like BYU a few years earlier we weren’t going to be named number one in all the polls.

Also the only reason you beat FSU was because their QB was hurt
Hypocritical much? I guess you will never call Alabama fans out again after using this line!

Tulane 1998 and Georgia 2022 also played very similar schedules in terms of strength.
Did they play Auburn, UF and UF as well?

Sorry but strength of schedule matters. There were probably 20 teams that would have gone undefeated with Tulane's schedule that year. Maybe more. There comes a point when your schedule is just so weak that it removes you from any serious consideration. They played no ranked teams and the best team they did play in the regular season was a Rutgers team that finished 6th in the Big East.

Alabama finished #20 in the AP poll in 1941, they claim a national championship
That one stays in the SEC west though.

Or like when UGA players D'andre Swift, Sony Michel and top 50/50 ball WR Javon Wims went out in the 2017 NC game against Alabama?
Injuries only dont count for UGA.

The East is the superior division.

No. That was Bowden as head and Rich Rodriguez as OC.

Actually Todd, the best team we beat in the regular season was Louisville. Second best was probably USM, who had a heckuva program in those days. Third best was La Tech, who was also hot at the time. Rutgers was probably in the bottom half if you rank that year's Tulane schedule from toughest to easiest. You are giving Rutgers credit only for being in what was then a "BCS conference." That's like saying "hey we must be fantastic, because we beat an SEC team" after a victory over Vandy instead of Alabama (and no disrespect to Vandy, but facts are facts).
Bottom line - we beat everyone we played. As an Auburn fan who ought to remember the dissing Auburn got from the pollsters after an undefeated 2004 season, you ought to know better. Auburn has every right to claim a share of the national championship for 2004 - no one beat them. So does Tulane for 1998.
