Undefeated, untied BCS champions didn’t share titles.

Harder to get in a title game under the BCS. UGA would have 1 title since 1980 under BCS rules. That loss to Bama in the SEC Title game would have kept them home.

Tulane would’ve smashed Tennessee in a playoff.

Sure kid, sure they would have. Don’t forget it’s a school night. I know the school year is almost over but you still have to get up in the morning.

1998 Tennessee should’ve lost to State. The refs saved y’all.

How should they have lost to State? You mean the team that could not even muster one goddamn offensive point was screwed but the refs?

They were winning deep into the fourth quarter.

And how does that negate my point? How were they screwed by the refs? The refs were the reason that Wayne Madkin couldn’t even throw for at least 100 yards in the game?

Kramer wanted an SEC team in the natty. The refs acted accordingly. Stupid holding calls, bullshite PI calls. No calls on Tennessee.

Also the only reason you beat FSU was because their QB was hurt.

Oh is that so? Marcus Outzen had no problem beating a damn good Florida team that year. And by the way, in this imaginary scenario of yours about Weinke getting to play, do we get Jamal Lewis back? I think Tennessee’s offensive would have been a lot better with one of the top 3-4 running backs in America.

That was the worst “national championship” team of all time.
