We appealed the probation in court and it got to a circuit court in New Orleans. But in the end Auburn faced choices:
1. Spill the beans on Fuell's father and get him sent to jail or
2. Accept the probation and move on.
We did the right thing under the circumstances."

Coach Whitworth was out half way through his last season ("On October 24, University officials announced the contract of head coach Whitworth would not be renewed", that was 4 games into the season! and he knew it!
