" It and all other Auburn alledged recruiting problems, and SEC in total for that matter, pale in comparison to Bama's Albert Means case that was essentially a $150,000 slavery deal for a promising , but not so bright, black player. I have heard, but cannot confirm, that one Bama deal for Means amounted to more money than ALL OTHER SEC proven violations COMBINED"

Good grief. Seek help and fast. Stallings wasn’t even the coach at Bama when that happened. That was Dubose.

This is how crooked things were back then... Walter Byars (NCAA Chief) and Paul Bryant were business partners in Bryant's Volkswagon dealership while Bryant was at A&M.

" I can verify it is factual and if you want a well known person to verify it, just call Vince Dooley and ask. Bama coach Ears Whitworth was desperately trying to save his job and sent the two asst. coaches posing as encyclopedia salesman to Auburn. They saw a new car and a new boat in the driveway of Fuell's nice duplex apartment. Then they went inside and saw a nicely furnished place. Natuarally they concluded Auburn gave him all this stuff. The fact that Fuell's dad was a bootlegger didn't come out in the press until well after Auburn was placed on probation. We appealed the probation in court and it got to a circuit court in New Orleans. But in the end Auburn faced choices:

1. Spill the beans on Fuell's father and get him sent to jail or

2. Accept the probation and move on.

We did the right thing under the circumstances."

Stallings is a pretty classy guy. He doesn’t really make comments like this. It’s totally out of his character to take a shot at a coach like this in public. I’m betting Jimbo has rubbed him the wrong way at some point.

I was thinking the exact same thing. The man is not prone to trolling ... he tells it like it is. Probably the closest thing to The Bear since The Bear there-is.

Whatever you say there my man!
"After an investigation that ran from late 1993 to August 1995, the NCAA found Alabama guilty of four major rules violations during the 1993 season. Stallings was implicated, along with athletic director Hootie Ingram, in falsifying the eligibility of Alabama cornerback Antonio Langham during that season."

I know Shun Alexander had a breakout game in Death Valley one year where he rushed for a bunch of yards. Can’t remember exactly how many yards he had but it was well over 200 I think and he had a few scores too.

That was my freshman year at LSU. I think he just scored again.

Jumbo rubs many coaches the wrong way.

A&M male cheerleaders? Well, they just try to rub all the males they can.

Coach was always classy when he was in T-Town and he didn’t believe in taking shots at people like that in public

Coach Stallings is classy all the way to the Heavens

he spoke his mind? Good for him

Jimbo is a narcissist piece of shite and deserves all the derision anyone can heap upon him - that Douce bag sat and watched a FSU fan get thrown out of a Q&A session because Jimbo was too much of a pussy to own the guy's question

This entire fairy tale is bull shite!
Coach Whitworth was out half way through his last season ("On October 24, University officials announced the contract of head coach Whitworth would not be renewed", that was 4 games into the season! and he knew it!
You really shouldn't bring your crap to this board when you know there are people who really know the truth!

By the way, Coach Dooley died last year, you ignorant prick!

Takes 2 to tango.TAMU got all caught up in the emotions of the 2020 season and decided to reward Fisher with a ridiculous contract. The barners got all caught up in the 2017 season and decided to do the same. These deep-pocket boosters are just fanboys at the end of the day.
