I’m confused why the 2nd baseman did catch it…he’s run to RF / SS, ignored being called off and fielded balls all series.

I get some pitchers are bad defenders, but this right here is exactly why I'm not a fan of acting like pitchers lose their arms once the ball is hit in the air. Just let him field his position and that play is nowhere near as confusing.
