The best was when Broome went up got the rebound and they called a foul on him with about 2 mins left. It was either a tie or 1 pt game. They go to,their end and shoot two.

We were never able to get in rhythm of auburn basketball tonight. It was a really strangely officiated game. I’m not big ref whiner guy but if you were to tell me this ref crew had a bone to pick with Bruce or something from the past it would make sense

I will say, the wing from Yale made some insanely tough shots over really good defense and deserves all the credit in the world. But still, as others have said we beat that team probably 99 times out of 100

Aden might get better, but it should be for another team. Every big moment this year swallowed him whole. We we're in the tournament and he's out there sulking. He was so bad Bruce barely even played him in the 2nd half because he was such a liability.

I don’t want to live in a world where we give up on true freshmen like that. Heck you might even be right, the NIL era might call for pushing guys out the door. But I ain’t there and never will be

Before the game if you had asked me what guys I would be wanting to take free throws in clutch moments I would have said 1. CBM 2. Denver 3. Tre

Usually I agree, but we didn't even really see flashes from him this year. From game 2 through today he was just bad. You would expect some kind of progression, but it just never came.

CBM not playing was the difference in the ball game. He was our go to guy for clutch shots. He really cost his team with that elbow

Best FT shooter also.
I can understand being pissed about the throat punch, but don't just wind up and throw an elbow to the gut in front of the ref that ignored the throat punch.

Be smart and take the opportunity to step on his foot and lean on him to tweak his ankle, get a knee to the jimmies, "accidental" finger to the eye, etc...

There are other ways to get even.

Still, he cost us the game with his lack of discipline. He has to live with what he did, and based on his history it is not surprising. He should have known the refs would be looking for anything to pin on him because of what has hapened in the last few games, and tempered himself.

All that said, an F2 was toatal bullshite in that situation, and the refs in this game were total bullshite from start to finish.
I wonder how that flight back from Spokane is going for him.

Don't be stupid and get yourself thrown out of the game 3 minutes in.

I wonder what the odds were for Yale to win? Seems like someone made a lot of money on that game.

1000% It took us out of our style of play as well especially on defense and diminished our overall energy

That would be a great way to point shave.

Yeah it sucks when it's obvious you would win that game 99/100 times but the time you lose is the only time it matters. Brutal.

Someone made bank betting on this game.

I may be wrong, but I believe his back injury came well after his mental issues.
He just became a Sergio Garcia level choker before the injury.

Yeah we had chances to win but the refs completely dictated the game for them to pull the upset. There was only one way for Yale to beat us and everything broke their way, which was put into play by the officiating.

Every game so far in the tournament the refs were letting the teams play. Two guys fall down? No whistle, play on.

Well Yale guy throat punches CBM, CBM reciprocates and he is in the locker from. Need a foul? Yale guy runs his arse into the lane just to collide into a mass of people to get a call.

Broome has the best footwork in the country. Broome spins for an easy two. Travel.

Chris Moore gets in legal guarding position and mowed down by a cutting Yale guard, foul. Going to the line.

The decision was made before the tip that Yale would get a chance. We were going to get fricked and needed to overcome it. We fell short.

I’m with you. If I’m Bruce I’m not giving up on him, but I’m making it clear that I’m going to the portal for another G and that he will have to prove himself if he wants to be the starting PG again.

The issue with this is most likely he would be 3rd string at PG and SG. If you're a former 5* are are going to be cool with that role? I think Pettiford might be our back up 2 and we get a good vet PG to start.

Hoke posted about the roster next year. All speculative, but he’s close to the staff so probably has a somewhat decent idea.

Main points are that he hasn’t heard anything on Donaldson and Aden as far as intentions to leave and that it’s like Bruce to force them out.

Expects Denver to return but not KD. Pettiford likely steps in as the backup SG. Hoke views him as more of a SG now and I agree. Could see him developing into a PG.

CBM likely to stay. Moore technically could return and adds value in the locker room, but could come down to portal availability as to if he stays. Sounds like the ideal situation is that Moore takes the 12th/13th scholarship spot.

Chaney should be back. Jaylin is obviously gone.

Broome could return if draft projections are bad but would take a good bit of NIL. Cardwell returning could be based on several factors.

Nothing really groundbreaking other than him seeming confident KD doesn’t return, which makes sense. I’m sure he wants to start somewhere.

Well he might be 3rd string. He would have an offseason to try and prove himself. Assuming we land a portal PG, I would be pretty surprised if he and Tre came back.

Also curious if we see any changes to the staff. I like most of the staff but it just feels like there’s one glaring weakness.
