in the last 15 months, in their 2 biggest sports, in 2 Birmingham venues next door to each other that are both across the street from the SEC office?

Good question.

Why don’t you tell us?

Why do they have to embrace it? Accept or acknowledge seem like more appropriate verbs here.

I think they'll be reasonably happy with making it to the Round of 32

But my troll answer is that they are gonna lobby to have the NCAA Tournament and the Birmingham Bowl moved from Birmingham to a Home and Home series because they cant beat the team in red

I thought embrace was acceptable to use since one of the definitions of embrace is to accept something.

Nah there’s implied emotion with embrace that doesn’t fit with your use.

Because losing to a 1-seed as a 9-seed is supposedly humiliating?

I don't think you'll find many Auburn fans who wouldn't be pretty pleased with a win over Iowa and a reasonable loss to #1 Houston

Just don't let them "smash" you. Pearl hates that.

Honestly I don't remember losing to them the last time, but I've blocked a lot of the last couple years out like I did in 2012.

Everyone on this board knows why the SEC office remains in Birmingham and it damn sure is not because of Auburn University.
That ole goat that leaned against the goal post to help him stand up was petrified and refused to come to Auburn to play. Dye respected the old drunk and waiting until his passing.
Auburn expanded JHS to 75k with upper deck and lighting while Bryant Denny remained wooden bleachers that sat 50,000. Only meaningless games were played in T-town to allow the poorer gumps to attend. The games were played early allowing time for them to find their way home before dark.
There was a reason that old fart and Bama did not want to pull out of Birmingham. Perhaps the office across the street?
Last I checked T-town is in walking distance to Birmingham.
What The University of Alabama and crooked arse Paul Bryant Jr did to UAB also costs the city of Birmingham millions.
Shameless!

Houston has a basketball legacy and is really good this year. Why would it be embarrassing to lose to them?

As a casual observer I’m just looking for a GOOD game with NO INJURIES and GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP and NO PLAYERS MURDERING PEOPLE FOR NOT TALKING TO THEM THE NIGHT BEFORE
