Brandon didn’t know the context of the exchange cause he wasn’t there. The attorney stops short of clearing Brandon by saying he was unaware Miles left a fire arm in his vehicle. He also never claims Brandon didn’t read the text and didn’t know Miles wanted his fire arm. Ask yourself why. I can know a pistol is in my back seat without seeing it or touching it.

The authorities are silent.
I reached out to the Tuscaloosa’s District Attorney’s office to find out if anyone could figure out whether Miller ever attempted to seek help or render aid via a 911 call.
District attorney Hays Webb said he couldn’t comment on a “pending” case, and the violent crime unit within the Tuscaloosa Police Department claimed it would no longer be appropriate to discuss Miller now that the case was in court.

When I reached out to his attorney for a statement, I was informed he wasn’t authorized to speak further about the case outside of his initial release.
quote:
In an effort to get to the bottom of Miller’s actions in the immediate aftermath of the shooting, I attempted to get the body camera footage and any interview tapes that might exist. I was told over the phone that likely wasn’t going to happen. Shortly after that, my request was formally denied.
Multiple messages sent to Alabama officials about what Miller did after the shooting also went unanswered.
That means nobody within the criminal justice system, at the University of Alabama or Miller’s own attorney’s will answer an incredibly simple answer: Did Miller ever attempt to seek help AFTER the shooting happened?

Shortly after that ESPN got to see the video and do their article.
So it's pretty obvious not only the lawyers, but the authorities are controlling what goes out.

Appreciate the honesty. You've been mostly cordial in your replies by tRant standards.
Thanks, obviously I'm going to give my university and Miller the benefit of the doubt considering.
But as I said early on in one of my first posts about this, I blame the media for their disgusting behavior.
More than I blame ranters for their reactions to it.

Interesting. Doesn't say where that authority came from.
I did find this regarding the dash cam video via al.com:
quote:
In later interviews, the detective said, Miles said he and his girlfriend picked Davis up downtown after he was shot.
Finally, Culpepper said, police told Miles that all of it was caught on surveillance video from the Houndstooth Bar and it was then he admitted to being there during the shooting.
Culpepper said some of what happened was captured on dash cam from Miller’s vehicle.
After learning that, he said, Miles admitted to contacting Miller to bring him his gun and said Davis had gotten the gun from Miller’s vehicle.
So basically Miller's dash cam video kept Miller from being charged and helped the cops unravel all of Miles' lying.

I never understand why anybody talks to the cops without their lawyer. Just shut the hell up unless you know you have nothing to hide and even then just shut the hell up.

Holy shite. Bama fans are horrible people. Look at this shite they write about this.

Yes, Miller turned all that over to them and his phone records.
I mean, if I was Miller and I was in the least bit responsible I would have deleted that shite and destroyed it. Phone could have been recovered probably from the cell company, but not the dash video.

The media also ran with the story that Miller blocked the victim's jeep in.
If the dash cam video shows them getting there BEFORE the victims, then that is some lazy and irresponsible reporting, IMO.

ForeverGator is winning me over big time lately. Nothing you've said has been wrong. Bama is a laughing stock.

Agreed.
Here's an interesting side of the story I don't think we've discussed nearly enough:
quote:
Two vehicles - a Dodge Charger and a Dodge Challenger that belonged to Miles’ teammates, Miller and Bradley
tRant I used to know would be all over this but I guess in this day of NIL nobody even blinks.

The school that covered for Aaron Hernandez should probably sit this one out.
So you admit it? At least the gumps, like this one, have stopped victim blaming for now.

I don't know how you can try to relate the two. The school disassociated with Hernandez when news broke that he committed murder. Bama is embracing it.

They are too busy calling a witness a muderer.

Miller didn't murder anybody, he is a witness.
Miles is an accussed accesory.
Davis is an accussed murderer.
That's what y'all can't get through your thick skulls.
