Charles Barkley is backing the entire state.
Listen this ain’t football so I think the Alabama-Auburn fans are going to be rooting for each other, that’s just my personal opinion. Alabama and Auburn, we hate them in football and they hate us. When you get to the arena as an Auburn fan, if Alabama is playing you’re going to root for them more than likely. Same thing, I think Alabama fans are going to root for Auburn.

I know Auburn fans who are married to Bama fans who would be happy to cheer for Bama to lose even if it means they sleep on the couch for a few days.

He’s always on JOX and has said he’s a good friend of Saban and Oates and always roots for the state of Alabama as long as they aren’t playing each other.

I’d pull for auburn for 1 maybe 2 games, especially if down the road a win for them could help us out. But, never past the sweet sixteen and never once Alabama out of the tournament.

On JOX, I've heard him explain his position on an issue and he actually managed to change my mind about it, just because I had never thought about it from that certain angle before.
No one has to agree with everything he says of course, but I think he deserves respect for saying what he actually believes, mostly in a reasonable way.
Not many people have the guts to do that, especially in the media.
