We aren't rivals with LSU either, and yes proximity matters.

Vandy should be allowed to pick their 3 bc people in here argued for them as their football rival

Sooners vs Missouri the last week of November is a win for Mizzou
Can't wait
It will be nice to have an actual good game at the end of November instead of an automatic W. Would rather play Arkansas early in the season or trade them for South Carolina/Kentucky.

Just want the schedule to be fair. If this setup is accurate, it isn't. Makes even less sense given the history between Bama and MSU and the proximity of the schools.
ETA: And to be fair, LSU is usually a layup win too. Y'all have beaten us 27 times, they've beaten us 18.

I think so as well. Why are they pairing us up with Oklahoma?

Well, being as we suck now, Oklahoma was basically gifted 3 wins for the foreseeable future. Should have paired them with Bama or GA.

Oklahoma might fly under the radar getting a break, so I’m glad you pointed it out bc I’m with you. Even A&M and Florida have more history in the past 15 years compared to Florida vs Sooner.

Here's my IDGAF if it's unbalanced proposal with an emphasis on traditional rivalries and proximity except for screw Bama-State because Dixieland Delight says so.
Mizzou: Arkansas, Oklahoma, State
Arkansas: Mizzou, Ole Miss, Texas
A&M: LSU, Texas, Oklahoma
Texas: Oklahoma, A&M, Arkansas
Oklahoma: Texas, Mizzou, A&M
LSU: A&M, Bama, Ole Miss
Ole Miss: State, Arkansas, LSU
State: Ole Miss, Vandy, Mizzou
Bama: Auburn, LSU, Tennessee
Auburn: Bama, UGA, Florida
Vandy: Tennessee, State, Kentucky
Tennessee: Vandy, Kentucky, Bama
Kentucky: Carolina, Tennessee, Vandy
UGA: Florida, Auburn, Carolina
Florida: UGA, Carolina, Auburn
Carolina: Kentucky, Florida, UGA
The only non-adjacent state games in my list are LSU-Bama, Carolina-Kentucky and Mizzou-State. Beats the hell out of Florida-Oklahoma. And with the 3-6 schedule you get to play every school at least every other year anyway. 12 game playoff combined with strength of schedule means one or two losses is no longer the end of the world. It's the new world. Losing traditional games every year sucks but having more chances to get in the CFP is freaking awesome.

Maybe OU is our placeholder annual game until FSU joins.

Just say it. We sold out. It happens in hip hop all the time.

FSU and Clemson. Why not?
Y'all play them already anyway and clearly it no longer matters if you've got those SEC Network dollars locked up for a given state. Have to go to a 10 (3+7) game schedule though. Yikes.
Screw it, let's just go to two 12 team divisions. West vs. East again.

The one thing almost all of these predictions lately have had is Arkansas-Texas together, seems like it is set in stone to reignite the SWC rivalry and obviously makes a ton of sense.
It will be cool to have that rivalry back in every sport, and it's a great one at that.

Texas week was always great in Arkansas since I can remember. David vs Goliath, though Goliath has seemed to soiled his loin cloth and become an easy target.
But seriously, this will become a fun game from both sides again.
My uncle worked in the oil industry in Baytown texas, and my grandpa was here in Arkansas. My uncle was a huge texas fan and grandpa was all Hog. It was funny how they went after each other, grandpa a church going man anytime the door was open and uncle Woody who was a hard drinking man.
They got along together fine despite the annual pickin at one another.
Both are long gone now but as a kid then I remember and will participate and agitate going forward….

Someone is going to have to explain to me the Florida and Oklahoma connection...doesn't make sense.
Tennessee needs Florida or Georgia instead of USCe.

Not happy about not playing UGA every year but, at first glance, I can safely guarantee that this was reached using some sort of mathematical formula based upon some grading metric of which we are not privvy.
I may have it worked out in a couple of days but obviously they used long term rivalry plus some sort of power rating plus a distance metric.

We are 3 assigned rivals, but fans want to keep 4 to 5 annual games, it’s understandable. When the tu vs A&M game went away, we found out the older crowd missed it but the under 30 crowd didn’t give to flips. I like consistency too so I get the keep traditional rivals alive. You just can’t keep them all.
